Terrible experience living here for two years. As many reviews mention, the management clearly does not care about the tenant's living experience. Just recently they rightfully had an average 1 star review but now suddenly they have a bunch of 5 star reviews.my guess is they are trying to do damage control so are paying people/asking their friends to write nice reviews?

1. My car was broken into THREE times while parked in the resident's garage and I've also had at least 5 packages stolen. The garage gate was broken for over a week without getting fixed.

2. One night the electronic lock system broke down throughout the whole apartment. They only had ONE person who had to individually fix every lock. I was locked outside of my apartment for more than FIVE HOURS during thanksgiving break and did not get into my home until past 1AM. I was out buying groceries and they spoiled. I was literally stranded in the hallway with my spoiled groceries as it was the holidays and there was nowhere else open to go. My friend was visiting from out of town and staying with me and left her INSULIN in my apartment - I explained this to the one person on staff yet he still took 5 hours to come. We almost had to go to the ER. My guess was they were too cheap to hire more workers to fix this issue in a timely manner, especially since they would have to pay overtime during the holidays. I never even received an apology from management for this horrid and traumatic experience.

3. Amenities are always broken. Hot tub is broken months at a time and is usually way too cold to even use.

4. They take weeks to answer your emails and 95% of the time nobody answers the phone in the leasing office.

4. Move out fees are completely unreasonable. They charged almost $300 for one small carpet stain (even though the pre-inspection guy quoted $100). They will charge for wall painting even if there is nothing wrong with your walls. They charged me a cleaning fee even though my apartment was already cleaned by a professional cleaner. My neighbor told me that they also charged her for "trash pickup" since she left a few trash bags while moving out even though we pay monthly for a trash concierge! I have rented for over 10 years at more than 5 different places and this is the only property that clearly charges move out fees for a profit rather than just to cover reasonable costs.

I guess the salary of the staff here is based on how many cars they can get towed. Don’t live here

Most fire pits and grills are broken, overpriced rent and utilities, poor upkeep of the grounds, unresponsive leasing office (they’re not worried about anything but getting leases signed). I pay $150/month for utilities in a studio and I do not run my heat.

Update 6/20, fire pits are still not fixed and grills are still spotty. Pool and hot tub has been down for weeks.

Update 4/8, all four of the grills near Encasa II do not lite. Ask them to show you the grills and fire pits when you are touring.

Compare the grounds maintenance here to the Monticello apartments and see the obvious difference.

Extremely poor experience, having lived here for the past one year.
Tone deaf management, that does not address any of your concerns. Moreover, they don’t even pick up the phone/ answer grievance emails.
Parking is a menace. Need to walk a lot to get to your home. No loading/ unloading zone so leaving your car downstairs for a brief moment risks your car being towed away.
Packages are locked away and only accessible during business hours and that too in a tiny room unorganised. Finding your package involves sifting through many packages.
Do not recommend this place at all. Looks good from the outside. It’s all vanity and no substance. I just got catfished. You’ll see Rimi D reply here but that’s just corporate speak.

Visited this place and had a hard time parking- involves permits/ printing etc.not super convenient. Got food delivered and no way to get any deliveries right. No call box for residents. Saw cars in guest parking lot getting towed which is super scary for folks having guests over

Regarding the management team. I recently toured the community with Encasa’s new leasing manager, Shivangi, and it was a great experience. Shivangi was very friendly and positive. She really lowered my anxiety in regards to moving to a new place.

I think that Encasa is in a good neighborhood, I drove around the premise, and thought the units and amenities were beautiful. I did not end up leasing here, because the unit that I wanted was not available, but otherwise I would have ended up here.

Good luck to any apartment hunters out there.

I had the opportunity to decorate an event for a client residing at Encasa Apartments, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the place. The stunning architecture, which blends modern elements with Spanish mission style, gave the property a resort-like vibe. It was evident that the management took great care of the property, as everything looked new and impeccably clean. The location of the apartment complex is also worth mentioning, with its proximity to several restaurants and shops adding to its allure.

The facilities and amenities at Encasa Apartments were top-notch, and they were maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The resort-style pool, where our event took place, was chic and sophisticated, adding a touch of elegance to the occasion. Additionally, the management team was incredibly helpful and responsive, answering our questions about decoration restrictions and other concerns with ease.

Overall, if I were to live in the South Bay area, Encasa Apartments would undoubtedly be one of my top choices. Its impressive facilities, exceptional management, and fantastic location make it an excellent option for anyone looking for a high-quality living experience.

I’ve visited a friend who lives here and it seems like a great place to live. The buildings are new so that’s always nice. The design of the units and the club house are modern and their aesthetics are very pleasing to the eye. And they are super dog friendly. My friend’s unit was tucked away from the main entrance and we saw three dog areas on the way. They definitely care about their fur babies too! Finally, the location is perfect. Not only are you close to the 101 and Lawrence Expressway, but you are on it in minutes from when you drive off.

I am apartment hunting since my work relocated in Sunnyvale. Visited quite a few apartments around the area and I had never been so speechless with this place. The area is spot on since it's near the freeway exit. My first impression is WOW! The apartments was huge and clean despite of seeing many tenants have pets. I'm a 1000 question type of person so I'm really impressed with the leasing staff, specifically Tomiko, that answered patiently ALL my questions! Like I said, I've visited numerous places and only the leasing management teamhere was patient enough to deal with me. I already spread the word to my co workers about this place and they already scheduled to visit

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience at Encasa, especially with the leasing office and management. The office team is very responsive to the needs of their residents and resolve issues as quickly as possible. Over the past few months, the staff has created and hosted fun, free events and special activities to celebrate the holidays, with treats, games, decorations, and a variety of food trucks to enjoy on your way in/out.very thoughtful! The property is well maintained, feels like living in a resort! With resort-style pools, large gyms, several meeting rooms, lounge/club house areas that can be reserved - even has a theatre on property! One exit from Hwy 101 and located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Encasa is 2-3 mins from downtown Mountain View, ~14 mins from downtown San Jose, ~10mins from the SJC airport, ~40 mins from SFO, and ~45 from San Francisco.

Too bad a handful of noncompliant tenants seem to highjack the overall ratings. As with any apartment complex, there are rules and policy requirements - clearly some folks don't read their leases and/or care to follow the basics terms/conditions - which are communicated very clearly (i.e. There No Parking signs where you should not park [or you will get towed! ], there are simple requirements about reserving common lounge and club house areas for gatherings/parties [to respect your neighbors], commonsense rules about having pets [keeping them on leashes/cleaning up poop], and being a neat/clean resident to prevent "ant/bug infestations. " Car break-in are unfortunately increasing in most areas of the Bay Area. Not keeping personal items in your car does help lessen the chances.

I like that many residents are affluent and respectable executives from Intel, Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc, - Encasa offers the "at home" comfort and a resort-lifestyle. Highly recommend checking it out for yourself!

This place to live is cool. Never had any issues with management. When something is wrong in my unit they normally fix the issue within 24 hours. I would still be living here if I didn’t work so far. Tomiko (hopefully I spelled her name right) is so sweet and helpful so make sure you ask for her if you have any interest renting here.

This is a great property! The staff is super helpful and attentive to the residents. It was so hard getting a hold of anyone in the office at my last property and that doesn't seem to be an issue here. I would recommend this complex if you're in the market for a new home!

I toured this property in hopes of moving in the next few months. This place totally surpassed my expectations in all aspects. The amenities were amazing (water fixtures in the spa!) and well kept and the apartment itself seemed more spacious and updated than 90% of what I’ve seen so far. Not only that but they have a really welcoming and friendly staff. I toured with Jacob who was really chill and knowledgeable about the community. 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to live in Sunnyvale.

Rude and unprofessional. Discriminatory practices. Some of the people in the office have no idea of what they are doing. They nickel and dime you out of the security deposit even if the apartment is clean.

I have been living at Encasa for just over a year. One of the big reasons I enjoy living here is the amenities offered. Favorite being the dog washing stations, being able to give my dog a bath at the complex has been a god send for me! The club house is very useful as well when hosting people. The staff had made it easy to book the clubhouse for any events I host when I have too many guest to fit in my apartment.
I have had little interactions with the staff but in my experience so far they have been very helpful. Much better than previous complex’s I have lived at.

Living in Encasa during the past year is a total disaster.

1. The apartment was completely not ready for living on my first day - bad odor everywhere, the filter of the kitchen ventilator was not in place, food waste in the dishwasher, dirties and hair in the washing machine, disposal not working, big stain on carpet, etc. I did all the cleaning myself for the whole day. When I moved out, they asked me to pay $200+ for the cleaning because they need to pay the professional cleaning team to come. Self cleaning won’t satisfy their requirements. It is hard to believe that my apartment was cleaned by a professional before I moved in.

2. For the stain on the carpet, they told me to put a bed on the stain so we won't see it, and mention it on the inspection report so we won't be charged after moving out. But after moving out, they charged me full to replace the carpet.

3. Garage door was broken and kept open for weeks. My car got a break in and things were stolen. The leasing office asked me to report to the police myself and told me they can’t do anything about it.

4. Before I signed the lease, the leasing office told me that for my second car they don’t assign any parking space but I can use the guest park. After 3 months they asked all the residents to not park at the guest parking and the car would be towed if you do so. They assigned me a parking space far away from my apartment, where I need to walk 10 minutes to get my car.

5. Ants are everywhere in the rooms.

6. When I was in the club room with my friends, the leasing office manager came to me and told me that I need to pay $100 per hour to use any public amenities if I have more than 2 people.
