Place is going down hill. Too many customers, staff can’t keep up. Trash was overflowing and swarms of bees inside and outside + flies. Outdoor seating is worn and dirty, needs updating. Prepared food has become more bland, also, not sure why that is.

I am a membership already 2 years. This is number one organic shop. There are seven sites of the upscale grocery company Erewhon Market in Los Angeles County, California. Erewhon concentrates on specialized, regionally grown, organic foods that are sold to affluent customers. These products are suitable for raw, vegan, keto, kosher, and other alternative diets.

Best Supermarket in LA

This market is super small and crowded 24/7 for my liking. I had my anxiety through the roof! Bless the staff people fixing, cooking, and cleaning up the store.

I had no idea, it was tiny to the point you bump into people. The front tends to be the most packed. You make your way to the veggies, it’s empty!

Don’t expect them to have any non-packed fruits or fish/meat. Do yourself a favor and check out Lazy Acres. It’s so good for all your produce + meat/fish and a lot more spacious.

No hate to Erewhon because it’s charming! Especially in the pre-packaged stuff. I had the best market sushi here. My sushi was reasonably price with fresh ingredients.

Oh! The staff was so accommodating to my food allergies & made a sushi roll for me on the spot. Love how detail and niche this market is. Overhyped but worth the hype in certain aspects.

Some days this is the best place on earth and other days it’s absolute hell. It honestly depends on the staffs mood. Like get a better job that won’t make you unhappy if you don’t want to be checking out my groceries or giving me lunch. No excuse.
One woman was using an EBT card and the cashier said “ohh, ebt” and chuckled. How rude and embarrassing. Pretty sure Vons won’t treat you as good as as Erewhon does. FIGURE IT OUT.

Also, if you are ordering online through an app Erewhon loves to add $3-$5 upcharge just because. How ridiculous.

Another thing, i investigated most of the prices for items other stores carry, and it’s the same situation $2-$3 for items found elsewhere. I only shop here cos my boyfriend has been going here for nearly a decade and foolishly pays a membership. It wouldn’t be so bad if the employees weren’t pretending to not be miserable. Get it together hunny.

While I have to agree that it is a really nice supermarket, the fresh food/deli counter is a mess. It's like a college dorm with employees chatting and high fiving each other. There are always a long and discouraging line. Can you guys get it together? It's the most popular isle and the most annoying.

Overpriced AF and people go here to be bougie and waste their money. Seriously! Also they are rude and seem stuck up. Nobody helps you but they do follow you around the store…wonder why. Might as well put up a “No poor people” sign as it’s why they raise the prices up.

I enjoy visiting this location. The employees and managers are always helpful and friendly. My go to for clean, natural and reliable brands for my toiletries and food items.

Horrible store. They charge 4x normal prices for items they get from the same places as every other grocery store… STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!

Excellent, albeit pricey, market with organic and natural food. Amazing selection. Fresh juice stand. Quite pricey but really enjoyed the place. Valet parking as well on site.

Literally brought Marianna’s Coconut Cloud drink yesterday and it gave me the worst stomach ache literally gave me food poisoning

If you like to pay a premium to be treated poorly, this is the place. Curt, dismissive management, brush off customer concerns as just snotty rich people whining. This place is toxic.

I worked for, Erewhon Natural Food Store, back in the year 1985. I loved it! I am a, Naturalist. I love nature! I love everything Natural!

Good and healthy, but obviously a little pricey.

I have to remove 2 starts since my last review. Not gonna say much, only that it is absolutely not about the food quality.it is about service. The guy with a blazer that sold me the quinoa salad today, he knows exactly what I am talking about. I'm just gonna say that he is probably overworked to be nice. The salad is good

Amazing deli and grab and go. However, they don't regularly change the menu or introduce new items. If you eat here frequently, it can get old.

Since their expansion, prices keep going up and quality keeps coming down.

Parking lot is so treacherous that I park at the meters in front.

I ordered a green smoothie and ended up with some animal hair in my mouth. They offered to make me a new smoothie but at this point, I do not trust it. No refund was offered.
