It can get quite busy and parking can be difficult. The sandwiches are freshly made and a decent experience.

Just come here - you won't regret it. HUGE range of sweet and savoury options, freshly made sandwiches - a great experience.

Ordered two freshly made sandwiches which were enjoyed outside on the patio. Both were filled to the brim and tasted delicious.

They also have a huge range of breads, cakes and pastries inside - more than you could sample in a month let alone a visit.

Worth dropping in for the sights, sounds and smells alone.

Still the best handmade sandwiches, our favorite Turkey, dark meat, cran-mayo, sprouts, tomato, lettuce on Schats Sheepherder bread. Ding Dong!
The other sandwiches look fabulous but I would have to forgo the turkey sandwich. So far I can't do it.

Probably what everybody else has said, lots and lots of product but boy can they be busy at times with lots of customers.

Love everything this place had to offer! I understand why everyone was recommending this place. I can't even say what my favorite thing there was, because everything was equally delicious. Well worth the 5hr drive for me to get there! Will definitely be making a trip there again.

A must stop when heading through Bishop. The freshest breads and the softest fresh baked cookies. We stock up for family and friends anytime we come through this way.

This bakery is world renowned for a reason. Everything here is amazing. Everything. My girl had the roast beef sandwich and I had never had a roast beef that tasted so refreshing with the lemon grass they put in it. Bomb.

I ordered the pastrami for myself and it was delicious though I normally like more pepper crust on the edges this was still good.

You have to buy the pecan kisses. Don't ask just do it.

Always stop to pic up their Chili bread and Sheepherders bread, so so good and sandwiches for the drive. Food is always amazing and their staff is great.

Always a must on the way to Yosemite or mammoth, the cheese danish with crème cheese coffee cake is the best.

This place is amazing so many different varieties of breads and pastries. This place was a great place to stop by and get some bread. I will definitely be coming back.

Off the charts amazing food. Hot pastrami at the deli is fantastic! Worth the wait! And the gelato ice cream is out of this world. All the homemade goodies are a must buy when I travel thru Bishop. Everything I've ever tried I absolutely love. Never spend less than $50 here buying so much yuminess.

A well known and locally popular bakery with a very wide selection of products. There are is another branch in Carson City.

The shop was very busy when we visited, and we purchased a few pastries to try, and since drinks to sit at the tables outside.

It's hard to judge the quality as it may by good by local standards, but coming from Europe it'd say it was okay, but no more than that. There's an in-store bakery down the road at Vons (IIRC) which was cheaper and not noticeably different.

Perhaps we just choose the wrong bread; perhaps it's modified to local tastes and we have a different idea of what a really good pastry should be like; perhaps the local competition is really bad; or perhaps it's over-rated.

I suggest you try it for yourself. You won't hate it.

Was told by a friend to visit on my way to Tahoe. Definitely will be making this a regular pit stop on my way up North. Prices are reasonable and the food was so fresh and delicious.

Well worth the detour on our road trip! This place was PACKED! The line to checkout wrapped around the entire inside of the store and even outside down the sidewalk! Tons of delicious bakery items! Breads, pastries, yum! We found delicious cheeses and salami to add to our basket! The sandwiches were amazing! Lots of fresh produce and the lunch meat was fresh and thick!

Awesome bakery, damn big selection and really tasty things. Especially the chili cheeze bread is delicious!

On our way back to SoCal from Lake Tahoe, we stopped at this bakery for some lunch. The place was busy. It had an abundance of fresh bread. The Tuna Salad on Sourdough bread was fantastic and Fresh Roast Beef was phenomenal. The staff of Latinas working were all amazing, the whole place was spectacular… All we’re doing a wonderful job… awesome ambiance! And products from jams, cookies, bread.butter, and pastries all wonderful

Such a great bakery! Has everything you could think of. The hot pastrami sandwich was the best my husband has ever had. The ready baked goods were so tasty and made great gifts! You must stop and try it. They even have gelato!
