Erik Low, DMD, MS, Inc. – Sunnyvale Perio & Implants

Dr Erik is fantastic, professional and knowledgeable. Highly organized office and nicest staff ever. He’s following up many times and he does care a lot.

To preface my comments: I was referred to Dr. Erik Low's office by a family member who was a patient of Dr. Howard Low for over 20 years. My family member had nothing but good things to say about the office. Therefore, it is saddening and a complete shock to me how negative my experience has been.

This review is specifically regarding Gregory Chan and his admin. I have never met such an unprofessional, disrespectful, low-life pair of individuals in my life.

I visited the office two weeks ago regarding some teeth issues and had an inspection done by Gregory. He recommended a tissue graft procedure. After the appointment, I checked when it would be possible for me to take time off of work and scheduled the tissue graft for ~1 month from now. It was important for me to pick a Friday so I would have time to recover before the next week. It is very costly and would be my first time getting the surgery, but I was okay with it and thought all was well.

All of a sudden today morning at 11 AM while I was at work, Gregory's admin thought it would be a swell idea to blow my phone up. She had left a message saying "Dr. Chan would like to see you tomorrow at 2 PM". As I had mentioned earlier I had already picked specific days that work for me, so this was very upsetting. I called her back and asked if there was any legitimate reason why Gregory needs to see me tomorrow. She claimed it would be a "good opportunity" for me to be forced to take a day off of work on less than 24 hours notice in the middle of the week (and likely ruin the rest of the work week recovering from the surgery) and empty thousands of $$$ into Gregory's hands. Needless to say, I indicated my disagreement verbally and that ended the conversation.

For all the years that Gregory Chan spent in medical school, he failed to learn anything about respect, ethics, and common sense. He only has his hands out for the patients money, but he failed to realize that a fool and his money are soon parted. I will be calling the office tomorrow morning to cancel all my pending appointments and will never ever return to this office again. The damage that Gregory has done to this business and the positive relationships that the Low family spent decades building is disgraceful.

I could not be more satisfied with Dr. Low. He is not only an excellent professional, but also really patient, kind, and available. His staff is also great; they are always smiling and they truly care about the patients. Special shout out to Rosa and her warm heart:)

This is the most understanding and professional practice I've ever been at.

They take the time to thoroughly explain the procedure and insurance to you before the operation. And after the operation, they'll give you the phone number of your doctor, so you can text any concern you may have post-operation, even outside business hours. The last part really makes me feel secure, as I can potentially catch any complication before it develops into something serious.

Dr Erik Low and his team provided excellent service for my periodontal needs. He clearly explained why I needed surgery. He answered all my questions and concerns during the consultation and subsequent visits after surgery. No surprises. Dr Low personally follows up after surgery.

I had the most excellent experience it was the most comforting and painless procedure. I appreciate Dr Lo and staff for their excellent customer service expertise in care and providing the best care and outcome

Had a gum graft performed and everyone was super nice and informative. They took the time to provide instructions on how to brush in the future to prevent recession again.

Im very pleased with Dr. Low’s work. He is professional, kind, and gentle. He also explains procedures in detail.

I need an implant, so the old tooth needed to be extracted. I went there very skeptical and hesitant, since the process was new to me. Dr. Low seems very patient and nice. He answers all your questions carefully which made me so comfortable. I had bone graft surgery few months ago too and now I am waiting for stent try in. My experience with Dr. Low was very smooth and convenient so far. I am halfway done with my implant, so hopefully good experience continues. His assistant and the staff are really nice and professional. I would recommend him for sure.

I've been helped by Dr. Howard Low and his staff, and they have all been great! Dr. Low has been kind, patient and skilled at explaining and performing the gum graft my dentist recommended. The only hiccup was when a newer team member didn't set the mold correctly, so the resulting palatal retainer didn't fit. Dr. Low had to improvise a temporary plug to protect the donor site. Everything worked out though, and my mouth has been healing well.

This is the WORST dentist office I have ever been to.
ERIN is EXTREMELY RUDE and the worst kind of person to interact with. They wanted to do my X-ray despite my general dentist sending them the reports. They even took my gum measurements even though my general dentist provided them with it.
After all this they charged me with additional consultation.
I didn't require my gum checked again as my general dentist already provided with all details. And then they billed me for a consultation.
Erin didn't explain to me any charges when I went there, didn't inform me that there is going to be a charge for this and when I spoke to her she just kept blaming me for everything. Didn't let me speak to the doctor either.
After such a bad experience, I ultimately had to cancel all my appointments with Dr. Erik.
I would stay away from this dentist office.

Dr Low and his staff are really nice. My daughter had to see him when she was 12 and Dr Low did a great job of putting her at ease and explaining the procedure to us.
