Mexican Restaurant Espiau's reviews
34Rice was horrible, no taste at all. Taco was fresh but not much taste. Service was great. I will try something else besides Mexican food
We took our Father here for lunch on Father's Day! We love the tostadas! They're the BEST! The service was awesome No masks allowed
The food was hot and fresh and the service was good. It's always a bit of a wait, but we'll worth the wait!
I've been going to that place ever since I was little and I like it great food the chicken tostadas good it's a great place
Slow service for the resturant not open for full dine in. I had shredded beef Taco and the meat was dry.
This is absolutely my favorite restaurant to come to when I'm Claremont. This restaurant is classic Claremont, and their food is a great mix of American and Mexican classics. The service is absolutely excellent every single time.
Mother's Day brunch was lovely! The shrimp soft tacos were outstanding and can't go wrong with an Espiau's salad. We treated ourselves to the peanut butter chocolate brownie sundae and one was enough for all five of us!
The happy hour specials are great. I would go just got the cheese on the salad. The blend of cheese that they use is amazing. Their homemade vinaigrette dressing for the salad is delicious. This is only my second time there. I'll be back again and again and again.
The chile rellenos, salad and taquitos are good. The service was outstanding.
We enjoyed a couple of happy hour appetizers and cocktails too.
Nice atmosphere, excellent food, decent service. We ordered 4 different items, and shared. I would rate all of them a 9 or 10 stars (out of 10). The only negatives were that the price was a little bland, so we doctored it up, and the beans were lukewarm. Also, the parking wasnt easy. But the entrees were on point, and i particularly single out both their chili rellenos.
Good people good food. The horchata was thin and they forgot beef in one of the dishes, but discounted it when they found out. Overall caring service and tasty meals.
The kids had the cheesey cheeseburgers, which looked good. My wife had the egg salad sandwich, which she felt was not worth the price. I had the stiffed burrito, which I thought was awful and the worst burrito that I had in a long time. Beer selection is good, which is a benefit. The chips and salsa were fine, as well.
Great drinks, chips and salsa are perfect. I would also recommend the salad, comes with a ton of cheese, but it's amazing!
Nice place to have a brew.they got the big 32 ounce beer mason jar for you thirsty ones.outside seating and bar make it a nice downtown place to visit if you want a great salad and a good burrito.
I've been coming here for years. I almost always get shredded beef hard tacos. Sometimes I change it up and get the Tacolado. The tacos are fantastic and so are the chips and salsa.
Food and drinks where good service was good. However I really did not enjoy the Mexican salad. I get that is there take on it but they should really let people know how they serve it. Had I known I would have skipped it. It was a regular salad covered with mozzarella cheese. A very thick layer of cheese. I really wish I had taken a picture. Aside from that the place was good. I might go back.
Love their salads! Enchiladas, rice, and beans seemed to be lacking. A bit expensive for such a small plate.
Food was ok took a real long time the service was horrible. There was 7 guys in are party all retired we were outside on the patio same server was doing all the tables outside and some inside. Couldn't even get refills no one ask till the food came. Very disappointing.
Great food. We usually go for their breakfast or brunch - on Sundays they have a spectacular bloody mary bar and their enchiladas with an egg are FIRE. Dinner is solid too, with top notch burritos and salads that come with a delicious vinaigrette and absolutely covered with cheese (like a serious two or three layers, it's heavenly). The decor leaves a bit to be desired, and the bathroom is off in some shady corner past the kitchen for some reason, but the food, service, and drinks are excellent.
