Espiritu Jiu-Jitsu reviews
7Awesome place, good environment, good music, a really good approach to the martial art with good instructors, everybody is very welcoming, diverse schedules so every has opportunity to train, amazing workout, amazing place for someone that wants more then a challenge for themselves.
Was looking for BJJ place a long time and was extremely lucky to have found this gem in Oxnard. Instructors push you to be your best. Tough fighters, yet compassionate on and off the mat. Jeremy is passionate about the art; demanding excellence in the smallest details.
Awesome place to train. Professor Jeremy is the best at teaching and Coach Carlos leads the lunch classes. The people who train are very cool and always help each other learn. I am fat and lazy and this team has helped me get back on the warriors path.
Professor Jeremy and all of the coaches are super friendly. I was admittedly very nervous when I was first starting to attend classes, everyone here makes you feel incredibly welcome. The classes have very good mix of technicality and self defense. The most striking thing to me is how Professor Jeremy ties in movements and how they are used in Jui Jitsu and how they may be used for self defense. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a structured workout or the self defense aspect!
I love this place. Professor Jeremy makes learning fun, exciting and uses humor to lighten up things. I never feel pressured or unsafe in class. You can freely ask questions and your teammates are always willing to help. There’s a diverse training schedule with kids, teens, and adults. This makes for a family experience. I’m in my 40’s and training and I had some reservations when I started. Professor quickly dispelled all those fears. When I stopped showing up to class due to changes in my career Professor Jeremy reached out to me to see why I haven’t been coming to class. I had already paid for a yearly membership and when he checked up on me I ran down to him why I haven’t been coming. But I promised him I’d be back and I’d be making some changes in my career to get back. If you’re serious about learning and scared to make the leap this is your sign and the place to do it at. He also offers private lessons and is totally approachable. I recommend this place to everyone.
Great teachers! Really help kids build their self esteem while teaching them about Brazilian Jujitsu.
