Essential Medical Clinic

To be honest, I had fear of going downtown LA for an appointment but I had no choice. I needed an EKG for a pre-op and this is the only place that would help me. To my surprise, parking was very easy in an open lot behind the building, the office was very nice, clean and quiet, it is only open from 4pm -7pm. I felt extremely comfortable considering the covid pandemic. From the first phone call, the appointment, the EKG and then meeting the PA to go over my results was a blessing. I was so stressed imagining lines of covid infected patients and it was the complete opposite. It reminds me to never judge a book by its cover.

No professionalism whatsoever. Uninformative. Just a hassle all around. Don't bother with this place.

Words don't even describe how amazing it is to have a doctors' office in the neighborhood, but the fact that it is THIS doctors' office, is truly a blessing. My boyfriend and I have utilized various services offered by the clinic, and thanks to the staff, the entire experience is consistently personable, professional, and pleasurable (at least as much as a doctors visit can be!).

Having a quality and reputable medical clinic in the neighborhood is so unbelievably convenient. I was able to get a complete gyno exam there from Dr. Park and have even gone down to get an IV drip to nurse a hangover, which Dr. Malan made a fun experience. And Dr. Bahrami’s bedside manner is beyond reproach. They also have a menu of services with prices so you know exactly what you are signing up for. You won’t be disappointed!

Call ahead of time and double check your insurance coverage, although they say they may take your insurance, they don’t necessarily honor your plan and try to overcharge

I was here recently for a painful medical problem that I unfortunately deal with often. I end up in urgent care and walk in clinics a lot. Everyone here was very kind and understanding of my problem, very respectful and professional, and clearly concerned with helping me first and foremost.

Sometimes, at clinics, I am not believed about pain or other problems, which means that I often need to argue and fight to get the treatment I need. That did not happen here. The doctor I spoke with was not only helpful, but also understanding and empathetic.

I really wish this place was covered by my insurance. If I could choose, I would rather go here than anywhere else in the area for minor medical emergencies.
