Eureka!, Irvine CA

I love this place. Its always my go to when friends want to get together and go out to eat. Quality food and good beer and wine selection, mixed drinks are AMAZING too.

The things I like about Eureka, Irvine-

1) They have a full bar, & some excellent beers on tap here, with many different styles of beer, as well. I enjoy Bottle Logic beers, & they had BL's Greyhound IPA, which has a grapefruit-forward flavor profile & an ultra smooth finish.

2) Eureka specialize in burgers, & they really are tasty here. I just tried a Fresno Fig Burger, which was amazing! This one had arugula, chopped up tomatoes, red onion, goat cheese, fig jam spread lightly on each of the Brioche buns, & 2 strips of thick bacon. The thick burger patty was cooked to a perfect medium- just the way I ordered it.

3) I like the outdoor patio here, if it's sunny & warm. Eyes will definitely be drawn to a scenic concrete-bordered infinity pool, which has a gas fireplace feature in the center of it, boldly displayed in the middle of this patio. I'm not crazy about the unfinished wooden tables outside. They look like they'd be hard to clean, especially after greasy food is spilled on them. They have gas heaters outside, & umbrellas for shade at most tables.

Things I don't like here:

1) The service is always on the slow side, every time we've visited Eureka Irvine. We got here right at noon on a Thursday, and the restaurant was pretty busy, during our latest visit. It took what seemed like forever to get our appetizer- Truffle Parmesan Fries, which came with a cheese dipping sauce. After one bite, we sent them back, because they were cold. The new batch they brought out to us, weren't that much hotter than the first batch, which is really bad.

2) Eureka Corporate made the decision to remove their Onion Rings, which were legendary- 4 Huge ridiculously crisp & golden brown, massive rings, with a ranch dipping sauce that had dill in it, for extra flavor. I was so bummed when they took this, their best appetizer, off the menu. It resulted in us not coming here for a long time.

3). The hostess wouldn't let us sit in a booth for 4, which we requested, because we were just a party of 2.2 of these booths never had anyone sitting there, over the entire hour-plus, we were here. The tables inside aren't that spread out, so I feel a bit uncomfortable about this, plus you invariably end up hearing other guests conversations, even though I wasn't trying to listen in.

4). The menu at Eureka is fairly limited, so most times, we just get a burger, which is kind of boring. This establishment could really use an upgrade to their menu, so they could offer their customers a wider variety of tantalizing choices, when you decide to dine here.

Great selection of artisinal brews and American burbons. Menu is also high quality, particularly the unique marrow burger.

Delicious burgers, friendly and attentive staff, a whole lot of beer on tap and a nice location.

Went there as a big group, good food, but at the end they told us they couldn't split the bill, took us 30 minutes to figure everything out and they charged us 20% tip without asking.

We went there as a group. Ordered American burger, beer and vodka shot and Truffle cheese fries. Food was tasty. Unfortunately, they forced us to pay 20% tip just because we came as a group of 16 people and on top of it they didn't mention anything about it. Also we asked the waitress to split the bill as it would be extremely difficult to ask everyone what they ordered. So i had to spend 30 minutes just split everyone's bill one by one. Worst restaurant experience ever. Will never come back there!

Happy hour and service were great. A bit crowded and regular prices on the upper casual level. Enjoyed the burger and an IPA on tap that was $5 via happy hour.

This was a very disappointing meal! I arrived before the order pickup time to ensure my food would be hot. I stayed 8 minutes away. When I got to my hotel, my burger and fries cold. And I mean cold. Not lukewarm and there was no condensation on the box. The extra order of fries I got actually seemed undercooked. The burger patty lacked flavor or seasoning. Thankfully I got a side of bbq sauce for some flavor.

The host at the door was very friendly and attentive and the vibe of the restaurant was nice. But the food definitely wasn't worth it and it definitely wasn't the best burger I had in town.

Great burgers, excellent service and nice atmosphere. Also, nice selection of beer. "Hoppy hour" offers very good deals. Overall, highly recommended!

Food is ok, not worth the price range. But service is horrible. Why say "let me go check on it" when you meant "you'll never see me again"?

Service was very slow for our table. It seemed like the waitress had a blind spot. It is a good place for a drink and appetizers.

Food was great but service was really bad. We waited 10 minutes just from when we sat down to even get menus from our waiter. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious though. I would definitely go back to take advantage of their happy hour prices.

I waited about 20 mins for the server to come to get the order even though the restaurant wasn’t busy but they didn’t charge for the desert which I give them 3 stars instead of 1.

Perfect spot for a business lunch to classy it up or go business casual. Great service and was excellent for my business meeting

Great food and service. Food was proper and the atmosphere was very nice. Lunch choices were good.burgers were outstanding. On the campus of UC Irvine. It was top shelf!

First time at Eureka Irvine (been to the Redlands one many times). Like the spacious and open seating of the Irvine better. Decent service, same food menu, similar drinks.
