European Wax Center, Escondido CA

I hadn’t been on my normal routine waxing schedule so I came in to get that going again. I had Aarin as my Waxer and it was completely painless! I don’t know how she did it but back when I was more consistent it would hurt a lot more. The wax was the perfect temperature. She’s super sweet and took the time to get to know me. If you get the chance to book here try booking with her!

Aaron was my tech and she was amazing. It was my first time and she made me feel comfortable and laughed with my through all the screaming I got half of for my 1st time AND a discount on the aftercare products. Definitely going again

The Quick Version: I'll never go back here again. Unhelpful. Slow. Rude. Stressed me out when I was trying to have a relaxing experience. Straight up was not having a good time.

The Long Version:
I got my underarms done here about a month ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about the absolute terrible experience I had from the minute I walked in.

I travel quite a lot for work so I go to EW centers all over America. I've had a variety of experiences, most positive, but never one that was all around bad enough to give the whole store a bad review.until now.

When I gave my name for the reservation, the front desk girl says I have unpaid charges and then just stares at me. I have no idea what she's talking about so I ask for more detail. She says she got a call from another location saying my card didn't got through for the new pass I'd just bought (my CC was stolen a few weeks prior so this makes sense). She provides no solutions of her own and when I ask if she can just update the system with my new card info she says "idk. " WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THAT. Like can this person please even PRETEND they are trying to be helpful?

Long story short - we get it all worked out with another person who I presume to be the manager, but it took like 30 additional minutes of just going back and forth with the world's most unhelpful receptionist.

When I finally get into the room, clearly in a bad mood now, the waxer spends the whole time asking me about work (not very relaxing) and then quite literally grilling me on my exfoliating habits. It wasn't just your usual quick, "hey i'd recommend buying another product, " or "how often do you exfoliate, " it was.how, when, why, what product, by who - like I was under investigation for an armpit crime. I finally get annoyed and said, "WHY are you asking? " and she says, "I just saw an ingrown hair and thought you should try our new (insert product name here). "

I know EW employees are told to sell the stuff on their shelves, but this interrogation was so unnecessary. Also learn to read a room.

Nothing about this experience was relaxing, gentle, joyous, or inviting. If I could give it zero stars I would. Suggestion: Train your employees on problem solving and vibe checks.

I’ve been coming here since February and every time it’s been a great experience. I’ve had a different wax specialist every time and every single one has been professional. The ladies at the front desk are always very welcoming and knowledgeable of their products. I enjoy coming here!

Been waxed by many different employees here, and all have had great customer service. They do have a high turnover but all the staff is thoroughly trained and kind so doesn't affect my services

YESSSS a million times yes if you want a waxer who will get you right every little hair gone and is fast at what she does then GENEVA IS YOUR GIRL. She funny throughout the whole process which distracts you from the wax. She has good vibes all around and informative 10/10 recommend her!

I have a wax place I always go to, I needed a last minute wax before a trip and my usual place didn’t have any appointments, so I booked with UWC. Host was very helpful and nice. The rooms itself feel very clinical, like a doctors office. The waxer didn’t talk the whole time. It was awkward and uncomfortable. And the waxer went over the same spot multiple times, which left me with tons of ingrowns and irritation.: (

If you come to this European wax center, I’d definitely recommend Geneva. She’s very knowledgeable, quick, knows what she is doing. She made the process very easy and distracted me with her fun personality. Definitely go see her!

I went to the wax center and seen geneva she was very welcoming with a calming personality. She was gentle yet precise and i wuld definitely see her again.

If you’re going to this center you absolutely have to see Geneva! She is the best waxer I’ve ever had, she is quick, knowledgeable and efficient all while being able to hold some of the greatest convos. She is more than a waxer she takes time to become a close confidant. Geneva is a must for your waxing needs!

Geneva is excellent! She is a trainer and super popular and fun to be around! Everyone loves her she is fast and efficient you can tell she’s been doing this a long time and is a pro!

If you're going here definitely see Geneva - she answers all of your questions and always does an amazing job. She always has great recommendations on products to use after waxing and is so easy to talk to!

If you're going to EWC in Esco, you HAVE to book with Geneva! She is halarious, fast, efficient and really knows her stuff. She will make your face glow with facials and make sure all the right places are hairless. She really makes sure you feel comfortable and will joke around with you until you feel like one of her best friends. Her attention to detail is better than anyone I've ever been to. And really helped me with finding the the right products for aftercare. You won't be disappointed!

Omg! I’m so glad that I found out that Geneva works here. I visited upstate with some family members and Geneva serviced me I had horrible ingrown hairs and it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax. She was very nice and helpful did a tremendous job and took her time. Her facials were wonderful and she also helped by giving me tips on how to maintenance my skin. I am excited to see that she will be here in California I cannot wait to book with her. You guys will not regret booking with her.

I have use the European wax center in Escondido three separate times for full Brazilian waxes. Each time I was extremely disappointed. All 3 times, the wax was rushed, and I was left with large patches of hair, And the last time I was left with a skin tear and burns. I kept going back thinking that if I voiced my concerns that it would get better. But that was actually the opposite, I was just treated badly, And offered zero compensation for each time that my wax was done incorrectly. Zero apologies, actually just treated badly in response to my complaints. Two big thumbs down for European wax center Escondido.

Service-Brazilian. DON'T. Not my first time being waxed or getting a Brazilian. It was however, my first time at this facility and my first time ever having molten lava poured on my privates. I told my wax specialist Sumi that the wax was too hot and I was told that they keep the wax at a particular temperature so the wax will stick to the skin. She did absolutely NOTHING to cool the wax going forward before applying. I've NEVER been burned anywhere else. I agree with the reviews about the front desk. They are wonderful and the reason I gave this place 3 stars. They discussed products with me, gave me samples, and took the time to go through their wax packages which saves you money long term. I did rebook because I didn't have the heart to tell them about my experience. I will be canceling and going back to my old wax place. The 50% off internet special was NOT worth the pain of my most sensitive areas being burned and my concerns being dismissed.

First time ever getting the full Brazilian- and first time waxing at all! So I was very nervous, but Linda was amazing! She was quick, very thorough, professional, and friendly! I wasn’t sure what to expect- but to anyone getting this for the first time, if you have tattoos, you’ll do just fine. The ladies at the front desk definitely knew their products and services and were super friendly as well. I had such a wonderful first time experience, thank you so much! I will definitely become a regular!

I have been coming to European wax center for two years now and let me tell you I never rebook or have a waxed in preference and today my waxer was SKYLAR and let me tell you she’s amazing she paid attention to detail made sure I was comfortable and was very pleasant to talk to.she also did an amazing job!
