European Wax Center, Solana Beach CA

I was honestly not going to leave a review but the more I think about the service I received from Jennifer I feel like I should speak up about it.

I have been to multiple EWC’s before and this is the first time I have experienced not so great care while getting a bikini wax. I’ll start off by saying I am not the best at getting waxed because it hurts me a lot and I go for special occasions. Normally when I go you butterfly out for the process, she had me put on leg down and butterfly one leg out, I think because it was more comfortable for her to wax me like that… which is fine but I found that it wasn’t so comfortable for me. During the wax she would rip off the strips and not even hold the skin after, which Really helps the pain… obviously it hurt so I would kind of make a sound of grief which I would think is normal.she says to me “it doesn’t hurt that bad” as she walks away. Personally, it’s not like I was screaming or crying but it hurts! And telling me how to feel is not professional in my opinion, she wasn’t even helping relive the pain after she would remove a strip.

She asked me how I would like it, I said a triangle. When she said she was done, it was completely uneven and so I asked her to take some more off from one side, then I asked her to trim from there…. And it was just the way she did it, she didn’t do it evenly and left hair all over me.

It was like she was annoyed because I had low pain tolerance and I sware I wasn’t that bad… I even warned her waxing isn’t fun for me but I’ll take the pain for the beauty.

When I walked out to pay the lady asked me how did everything go and I was still processing what happened so I kept my mouth shut and still TIPPED HER cause I’m a nice person.

But overall it was not a good experience for me and I would not want to be waxed by her again and I would want to try and prevent it happening to someone else.

I’ve been to a lot of different European Wax Centers and Amber at this location is one of my favorite estheticians I’ve ever had. She is very thorough and makes the experience as relaxing as possible.

We love European wax center. Efficient technicians and always uber professional.
