A good selection of beer is very tasty and doesn't just taste like bitter hops Usually it's pretty stuffy It seems like they fixed that issue again. I would recommend it!

12/16/23 Took my date here for our first date and boom got hit with a “Sorry, we’re closed for a special event. ” When to Storytellers Brewery down the street and wasn’t disappointed.

Hazy Disappointment

I have been to Evans a handful of times. It is one of my favorite breweries to stop by when I’m in the area.
Evans always seems to have a great atmosphere upstairs, a good selection of brews, good music playing, and the food from the food trucks has always been pretty tasty.
My most recent experience has changed my opinion of the place. I decided to jump off the 91 on my way home the other day and grab a beer. I decided to try the Stratallac Hazy at the suggestion of the brew hand. Fantastic beer! It was so good that I grabbed a four pack of the Stratallac and a four pack of the Foggy Pines, which has always been a solid choice.
When I got home, I decided to enjoy one of the Stratallac’s, but to my surprise it was nothing like the beer that I had at the brewery. Pics supplied. The beer that I poured at home looked like dishwater from a night shift and Denny’s and was completely undrinkable. To add to it, the Foggy Pines had a very similar look to the Stratallac. Not quite as bad, but once again, dishwater like. I’m not sure what the issue was (or is) but to sell $16 four packs that should have never been placed in the cooler for sale is unacceptable. Perhaps it was an old batch, or maybe they were left unrefrigerated for some time, I don’t know. The fact that both beers had the same problem is really puzzling, and disappointing.
I reached out to the brewery, and never received a response.
I will not be back and here is some advice to the owner. When you receive any inquiry about an issue such as this in the future, it would be good practice to reply with at least an apology. It is a very competitive market out there as I am sure you are aware.

I actually really like this place. However they close sometimes on Saturday evenings during their regular business hours for private only parties. So don’t come here from far away because they might turn you away like they did me….

Excellent beer, service, food and prices. I've taken many friends here and they are always impressed with what Evans has to offer. An excellent place with plenty of room and real stands out in the IE for a quality spot. Service has always been welcoming and attentive. Their German and west coast beers are to enjoy and the food is always high quality ingredients.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very chill vibes. Had great music playing and great beer to drink.

This was my very first visit. What can I say. Absolutely amazing time. I highly recommend to everyone. If your ify about it try it. You will not be disappointed.
I will return again and again.

What an inviting spot! First time here, it was calm and we were treated like family. It increasingly got more busy and we continued to get flights (kind of a pain when busy) they still treated us amazingly. If we lived closer we would be regulars.

It was a nice experience, good beer got to bring in food and have our baby with us. Over all I feel like we'll come back again

We have passed by this place many times and finally stopped by today. We weren't sure what to expect, but it was a very comfortable and casual space. I only drank water and kept my husband company, but he sampled several of their beers and brought home a six pack and a cool reusable 64 oz.plastic growler. There is a mix of seating from taller bar tables to shorter tables, and booths made up of couches. The servers were nice and they even have a few TVs that they were happy to switch to a baseball game by request. You can see that people bring their own food and reserve tables for celebrations, but there is also an in-house food truck with a few things that can be ordered. Definitely will be back!

Pretty chill place. The selection was good and they did have some food options. If you're looking for a chill place this is a good spot. The brews were decent nothing really out of this world though

The upstairs area is nice and inviting. The game room with the pool table is a plus. The selection of beer is great and you are bound to find something you like.

Best taproom ever! So many delicious beers! Some of my favorite beers I've had! Get a flight if you can't choose just 1!
