Do yourself a favor, pass on Evans Tire Service and patronize Discount Tire instead. Undisclosed fees and very high prices leads me to give 1 out of 5 stars.

Raul was very professional and helpful! He patched my tire and had me on the road again with no complications. I would recommend Evan’s tires!

These are some of the best tire guys in the business. I would recommend them to anyone. They go above and beyond.

I had a very good experience going in for my regular oil change and inspection, Roger and Raoul took efficient and easily understood care in signing me in, checking back w recommended repairs and timely completion. I have always and will continually trust their excellent care of my car. Thanks guys!

Raul is awesome and always gives detailed updates on my vehicle. I have been getting my brakes, tires, and oil changes here for years and will not go any where else.

I will be bringing my vehicle in for the start of the new decade and beyond!

The pricing is great and the staff is tremendous, especially Raul.

Raul was helpful and friendly! I came in during Super Bowl weekend. Time estimate and oil change were spot on and I appreciate everything they did to my truck!

I was towed to Evans this am with two blown out tires from fwy debris. The guys immediately took me in, assessed damages, replaced the tires and got me on my way! Top notch service!

Thanks Roger for the quick turnaround on the installation of our new tires on my wife's Lexus. She was so happy the next day driving to work! Thanks again!

Wow! Blown away. Not only did the guy at Evans let me that I could go another 5k before replacing my tires, he even priced shopped to let me know I could get it cheaper at another shop because of the tires that have which they don’t carry. That is integrity! I will definitely do business with them even though they cost more for me.

Where do I start? I purchased a set of 4 tires in early Dec of last year. Waited 3 hours on a Saturday. Approximately 6 weeks later, I noticed pressure going down in the rear passenger tire. Called Evans Tire in Encinitas as it's the nearest location and they told me to bring it in as soon as possible to avoid longer wait times. I brought it on on a Friday and waited for over 2 hours. They told me there was a nail in the tire and plugged it and I"m good to go. I will also mention that as I'm sitting in the lobby waiting, along with about 4-5 people depending on who's coming in and leaving, and the two guys behind the counter get into a heated discussion about some internal employee issues. IN FRONT of all their customers! Where is the professionalism and the customer service? About 4 days later, I noticed my tire pressure dropping in the same tire. Called them up and they said to bring it in again. I asked them how long it would take. They said about an hour or so. Luckily, I was able to drop the car off and didn't have to wait this time. When I checked in to tell them the issue, they had no notes in the system about the issue with the tire and the nail on my first visit. Didn't think much of it at the time. Came to pick the car up, asked what the issue was and they told me "oh there was a nail inside the wall of the tire. We removed it and plugged it, did a dunk test, etc. You should be good to go. I sat there dumbfounded. So a 2nd nail in the SAME tire? Hmmmm - what are the odds? I asked for a manager. I said, what was wrong the first time if your guys told me there was a nail in the tire, yet it still continued to lose air? And now, you're telling me there's a nail this time? And you had no notes in the system? So I waited two hours last time for a repair that wasn't even done? ! He had no explanation and apologized. Didn't offer any other explanation, no discounts off a future visit, etc. I left, picked up the phone and called management to file a complaint. They talked to Roger, the manager and he offered a $29.95 coupon towards an oil change. Had my son take it in today for the oil change and they told him an hour and a half wait. It ended up being closer to 2 hours. They guy at the front desk told him the car was done and the service tech told him it wasn't and he was just going to have to wait, even though it was well over the hour and a half they told him initially. It's one thing to let a customer know NICELY that it's going to take a bit longer. It's another for there to be such a huge disconnect between what they are telling customers and what the reality is in the service bay! They really need to get their $h! T together at this location! Btw, this is also the location that I took my H2 about 12 years ago to for basic inspection before I took a road trip and the service tech forgot to check the oil, sent me away bone dry and the engine threw a rod! A $15K engine destroyed. When I spoke to the manager, they blamed the service tech and said he was no longer there so they couldn't really speak to what was done on the vehicle. Again, offered nothing to make it right. I was going through a very tough time personally and didn't have the energy to fight them legally. I should have known better than to go back here! Figured it was just a set of tires... The tire offers are a good deal, but SO not worth all the BS, the hassle and the unprofessionalism!

Very nice people, and decent pricing.
Zero accountability for damage that they do - and I understand this does not happen to everyone, but when it does, respectable shop would own up to it.
I got a car about 6 weeks ago, and made sure it's flawless, or at least as flawless a used car can be. Took it to Evan's Tire for tire/wheel change, and a couple of days after noticed a huge dent (also paint gone) on the plastic side skirt - CLEARLY on a spot where the only option is that it came from lifting the car. The only place where the car has been lifted (or even been at a shop) is here. Took the car in, friendly staff took pictures and promised to get back to me. I got a call back a couple of hours later, them telling "it can't be from our lift". Now, I don't know if the dent came from the lift or somewhere else, but the fact is, car had NO dent going in to the tire change, and now there is one. This place is great for a coffee and chat (very nice people), but do not leave your car here.

Before going on a drive across the country, I wanted to get a full inspection, oil change, new tires, etc. Dealing with car issues thousands of miles away from home is not fun. Another mechanic cancelled on me at the last minute so I called Evans the morning before I was scheduled to leave. I talked with Tony and he assured me that they could get everything done that day.

They made sure my truck was ready for me to drive across the country safely. One repair was needed, and they stayed after hours to make sure everything was taken care of. Tony kept me updated every step of the way.

I'm happy to say that I made it safely to the east coast without any issues whatsoever. I even got a courtesy call asking if my trip was going well. I had a great experience with Evans tires and they went the extra mile to take care of me. Highly recommend.

I ordered a set of 4 tires for my car. I was told to show up on Friday after 12 to pick them up and have them installed. I arrived at 3 p.m. Only to find that the tires were not there. Searches on the computer and the phone with the person who took the order said they were shipped and that they were delivered, but the guy on the phone said they must have sold them to someone else. Really? Then, I was talking with the guy on the phone and he put me on hold. After about 15 minutes I asked someone at the counter for assistance because it seemed that I was on hold for much longer than reasonable. Ended up getting a different tire, which I am not extremely happy about, but I didn't want to wait any longer.

2019-10-02 - Well, I haven't heard a thing from the owner, even though they said that they would be contacting me offline. They have my phone number, email and physical address, so there's no excuse to make sure they got in touch with me. It's been a month. Dropping it down to 1 star for that.

The Store Manager Roger is excellent. He is very courteous and professional. He took care of my tire rotation and checked my alignment. I also bought 2 new tires from Evans. The prices are fantastic. Evans is very popular and busy so I recommend going early in the morning during a week day. There are lots of stores in the area to get shopping and errands done while the car is being worked on. In summary, excellent service, great prices, and fast turn around time.

Tony at the encinitas store is awesome. Today I went in to see if they could fix a taillight. I was expecting them to say they didn't have a part or leave it all day, etc, etc. Nope, they happened to have the bulb I needed on hand. He was able to change it out in about 5 minutes and I was on my merry way. Thanks Tony!

I don't usually write review, but I had a terrible, and almost costly, experience at Evans. Very polite, very funny, but WAY above costco price after being told that they beat my price. After 1.5 hours, I went with my instincts and left.saved myself $300. Thank you Costco.

Do yourself a favor, and go straight to discount tire less than a mile down the road, I'm all about customer service. I was willing to be a paying customer, but these yahoos apparently to busy to entertain that. Took my business to discount tire, where they fixed it for free under an hour. Now I'm going to tell anyone referring to tires to go straight to discount. Awesome job Evan's

I been going back and forth with Evans Tire and discount tire. But I finally decided to stick with Evans Tire because they have great unbeatable prices and they do alignments, maintenance and repairs all in one place why go anywhere else. Another great thing is the Encinitas location is open 7days a week so if Saturday and Sunday are the only days you can service your tires I recommend you make an appointment so they have your tires ready.
