BEWARE. PLEASE READ!
I desperately needed tires for my car (bald rear tires), so came in for new tires. As I came in they offered me an alignment which I agreed on.

After 30mins of having my car, I received a text and at the same time I was asked to come outside to see one of the rear tires which was gauged in three large spots. I was told that it was due to needing new shocks and that it would be more expensive due to being a Mercedes.

I am mechanically inclined (but not a mechanic). I had changed both of the rear brake pads the day before and double checked the tires in the morning since I knew one was dropping pressure due to a possible nail. There were no gauges on either tire and checked that specific tire the most since it was the one dropping pressure and I tried to see if I could see the nail (I found the spot where it was).

To me, it seems that the tire was altered to up-sale shocks. I politely declined the service by saying I would wait for the next paycheck and stayed the rest of the time looking at my car to ensure no tampering.

It got moved to the alignment side, and I did notice the car was attached with the alignment equipment, but then I noticed not much happened afterwards by the technician. After half an hour the car got dropped from the lift and parked. I went to pay and get out of there and I was told not to wait to change shocks. I explained the predicament of me changing the brake pads and inspecting the rear tires beforehand. All he could say was "that's weird. I can show you the tires again" I declined and paid.

The alignment report did not include any vehicle info, nor specification thresholds. The initial and final measurements were nearly identical across the report as if nothing was really done.

I am upset but at the same time I didn't want them to have my car any longer with the fear of possible tampering of the car. I will change the shocks myself just in case. Old shocks seem to be good with no leaks and no signs of obvious wear or physical damage. I will go to get another alignment tomorrow at a different place with new shocks on.

I did not witness any tampering as I made sure that they knew I was staring at them the whole time after the tire damage was shown to me (picture attached).

If you decide to use this Evans Tire, I recommend you to thoroughly inspect your car and tires and take pictures prior. Request specification thresholds to be filled out and have them show you what changes and adjustments they made to meet those thresholds.

My to go place for all my tire needs… I have the upmost confidence in their work. Their staff is super nice, friendly, and extremely helpful… I am no way a car person, so knowing I can trust them to tell me what my car needs or can wait on. I will definitely return over and over again

Thanks for the wheel alignment and finding the worn out rear brake pads. I just came from Honda Chula Vista for an oil change and was told my brakes were good.

They came thru with a miracle. Truck running great. Call Center and in store knew exactly what I needed. Made experience very nice. Only wish they had a 711 inside the lobby. This is the only place to visit for a great experience if you need to drive a lot. Great warranty as well. These tires and service are top notch.

Very friendly and professional. I was disappointed that no appointments were taken for just the oil change but when I got there, it was done reasonably quick. Also I was happy to see a familiar face who always gave courteous service at previous place where I used to take all my cars. For now, I will be recommending this place to my family and friends.

It was very pleasant! They took care of me pretty fast! I Had my tires rotated, & at the time they removed the 2 back tires, both had nails in them! So they repaired them as well! And since I had purchased my tires from Evans tires, it was no cost to me at all!
