The employees are nice one of the employees that I showed a pictures of the kinds of flower that I want they have. And when I went in to the store. And mask required there even when vaccinated still need mask. And when you ask an employee for a cart they will bring one for you. And when you have no mask or forgot your mask and ask for a mask they will give one to you.

Met Paul and asked him tons of questions about redoing my entire front yard. He was extremely knowledgeable and suggested that I come prepared with measurements, plants that I am attracted to, color of the house as well as colors of plants and blooms that I like. He also suggested that I do my research as far as how tall plants grow and to consider how far apart to plant them. Once I have a rough draft, then he or Larry would be happy to provide consultations services and make any further suggestions. Paul was great at pointing out some beautiful plants and gave me some great advice on how to add color to my garden and/or symmetry.

Knowledgeable staff, great selection of cactus, succulents, healthy plants. You may have to wait 5 min in line for soil or sod; bring a truck or they deliver

First time visit here, but found pretty big size and lots of plants and trees and good service. If I need more nursery project, then, definitely I'll start this place first.

Hidden gem! Large outdoor space with a variety of plants, flowers and greenery! The pots and planters are all so cute. Loved it.

Great! As always, all the lettuce and herbs I wanted. Help to find things. Masks, 6' enforced. Sanitizers all over the place.

Visited this place because looking for some specialized items that you can not find at national chains like Home Depot and Lowes. It's a surprised found and a jewel of San Leandro.

I've been here several times and every time I go the plants are bone dry, they have dead flowers on almost all of the plants they put plants in the sun that obviously belong in the shade. DO NOT BRING CASH BECAUSE THEY DON'T ACCEPT MONEY. SO PLASTIC IS ALL THEY ACCEPT FOR THERE DEAD LIFELESS PLANTS

They had the plant I was looking for but they are overpriced and they guy at the front is rude. I’ve been here twice, and both times he was manning the register. It’s a shame because I would like to support local business and I’m willing to pay a little more to do that but not if they’re rude to me. I won’t go back.

Plant selection is somewhat small but that is expected for the winter. They have a somewhat larger selection of house plants which I loved! Many different varieties than what is usually at other nurseries. I did buy a Hindu rope plant that had bugs in it. Found out when I watered it right when I got home. It left dark spots on it but it looked fine when I picked up up. Boo. Good selection of pots. Ample parking.

Each month, I spend hundreds of dollars in maintenance. And many tens of dollars in plants and products for my garden. Fortunately, I have learned to stay clear of Evergreen Nursery in San Leandro. The problem is the hot head manager and her boss. They defend their damaged plants to the detriment of their reputation. And then they try to shame the customers who return their damaged plants. I entered into a dispute. And finally the owner admitted his plant was deformed. Only after embarrassing everyone in the store, the rude manager accepted return of the plant. At first, without proper investigation, the owner defended the manager. After further investigation he conceded. But he should have apologized.

Went there Sunday morning around 9.30am trying to figure out which potting soil to use for japanese maple.

I asked a guy at the cashier and he just point me the picture of the soil on a board and left me there and go on with his work. I understand it's early and they could be busy but all I need is probably 5 mins.

I then go outside to find the soil that the guy suggested. That guy saw me and I try to get his attention but it seems like he doesn't care at all.
After checking the description i wasn't so sure if this is the correct soil so I asked another lady.

She is very helpful unlike that guy although she is in the middle of something. She asked where do I plant it and what maple and then she told me the soil that guy suggested might not be suitable since i'm planting the maple in a container. She answer my follow up question and left after she confirmed i'm satisfied.

She is a game changer, if she is not working there I think I will have a very very bad impression on this nursery and never return.

Wonderful nursery especially if you are looking for vegetables and fruits to grow and ground cover as well. They have a nice smallish succulent and cacti section as well. I think the best thing they have are various soils ar great prices. The employees are knowledgeable and super friendly. They also have various classes and lectures that are definitely useful.
