Extended Stay America - San Jose - Downtown

Nice rooms. Has a kitchen in it. Clean. Not the friendliest staff, but the maids are quick and efficient

One of the worst hotels that I stayed in the recent times.

Starting with the elevator. Gum was stuck on the floor of the elevator.

The room was dirty, as hell. There was a patch of wet carpet right next to the bed. There was no cutlery in the room, including no coffee maker. You need to go down to the front desk to ask for them. Noise from people walking in the pathway and from outside the street was loud, even though the windows were kept closed.

The shower in the bathroom is possibly broken. When turned on, the water sprinkles to the top towards the roof. Soaps were slightly bigger than a rounded pill.

Being in the downtown, you'd expect a not so great environment. However, it looks like a lot of the folks staying in the hotel are regulars, and dwellers of downtown.

Overall, it is as good as a 1-star motel.

I had a bad experience with the hotel and with the cancellation since they did not want to refund my money because due to other reasons I could not travel and even so, explaining, their staff did not want ANYTHING EMPATHIC.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND

We never got our refund we were supposed to stay there for one night I don’t recommend coming here we tried to switch rooms because it smelled so bad and then when we went to the office they were completely flooded and couldn’t help us so we had to leave and didn’t stay and then there were bugs also one of the employees offered us a free room but that never ended up happening the manager denied to speak to us as well just don’t go here service is horrible

Terrible, do not make any reservations with them, they are not people to trust since I made a reservation but reported that I had to cancel because a family problem arose and we could not travel and they did not refund me anything, not even a part, terrible service because I notified with time and even so they did not return anything to me

I had a very bad experience with the hotel and the cancellation, they did not want to refund my money, it seems somewhat unfair to me, even though explaining all the situation, it seems to me that there is a lack of friendliness on the part of the staff.

Very bad area. No cameras. Dangerous homeless encampment right down the street. I travel for work and I was planning on staying here for 2 weeks. On the 3rd night, my work truck was broken into using a drill, and they tried to steal the whole truck. They completely grinded out my ignition trying to steal it. I parked within 50 feet of the front door with my cab facing the door. The thieves probably spent a good while in my truck trying to steal it and nobody saw them. I didn't know any of it happened until the next evening. The front desk knew a car had been broken into but did nothing to see who's it was. My back hatch was wide open all day because of it. The tow truck driver told me he has to tow cars in this area every day because the ignition was grinded out. It's insane they have no cameras on property. When checking out, the manager had no idea any of this even happened. I'm in a hotel 300 days out of the year and this is easily my worst experience ever at a hotel.

I booked online and the pictures looked welcoming. Just a weekend at Great America. When we arrived the place was small and far from welcoming. It smelled like a take out restaurant. It was dark and dingy. The room was not clean or updated. Zero amenities.

Lie on me, call the cops on me, I've done nothing wrong, I respect everyone even animals bird and ducks respect is a Big Deal with me.

Any hotel that contracts with Lifemoves Non Profit Homeless Program should rethink about dealing with that organization. Many other hotels have already found out that their case load gets shoved on hotel staff! I wont stay anywhere that has that program in it! They don't care about the businesses that they contract with or their clients. It will only get worse!

Rooms are covered in roaches and bedbugs. Checked in, went to my room, and immediately left. Thankfully they gave me my money back.

Its not a safety place, there are way too much cockroaches, is smells bad, doesnt have cleaning service, and too many Homeless. It shouldn't even get One star.

Roach in the bathroom: l hallway smelled funny, carpets dirty, looks like no one vacuumed the hallway in like 4 months. Just. No

The parking lot was like a prison yard. Filled with seedy people and vehicles filled to the brim. Google the term "Extended Stay San Jose homeless". The Mercury story will tell all.

There were unleashed dogs in the hallways. People in lawn chairs at the entrance and broken glass in the parking lot. For 180/night I'd expect a better experience.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The location is terribly sketchy and feels unsafe. The room was not clean at all. The icing on the cake was the bed smelling like pee so we ended up leaving and getting a refund at about 11pm at night. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL I would have rather slept in my car.

Very interesting Hotel.parking lot full of random people/cars seems like homeless camp and Rooms are very old with cockroaches, breakfast is a joke.won't come back.

The staff was cool. But housekeeping doesn't so a good job cleaning and there's something broken in just about every room

The outside looks brand new the inside look s aged and decrepit. And all my hotel and motel stays this has to be the worst. The shower leaks water all over the bathroom walls healing mirror floor the covers on the bed feel like they're sheets. They advertised a full cooked breakfast, what comes is coffee that's the only thing hot the rest is all bagged & cold. The staff behind the window are the nicest thing about the place the night staff not the morning staff
