Eye Contact Optometry and Orthokeratology Center, Irvine CA

My son was there for Ortho-K, the vision improvement program. It was really good. My son had a -3.50 vision when he was 10. Now due to the program, he maintains a 0.0 vision and he is 12 now. I had a horrible eyesight and was afraid my son’s going to be like me. He was having eyesight problem since 7 and was going worse every year. He needed to change eye glasses every year and we were really worried. Thanks to Dr Kim with Ortho-K, my son doesn’t need glasses anymore. However, the program is expensive and may not be for everyone. In addition, my son needs to be in the program until he becomes an adult, so keep in mind that the expenses will pile up. But for us, the result is good. So, good result plus Gentle Dr, friendly receptionists, a five star on my list so far.

Friendly staff, and you never feel rushed with Dr. Kim. He takes the time to explain and answer any questions. He moved his office from Mission Viejo to Irvine. I still see him, don't mind the drive:)

Love the doctor. He was patient, funny and took the time to explain everything. I learned the left eye is more prone to cataract because of the side we drive exposed the left eye to more uv light due to the window. Also make sure you pay for the retinal exam, it takes picture with back side of the eye but opens the window to your health condition beyond eyes with diabetes, blood pressure etc.
I learned all these from the doctor's explanations.

The front staff was very inpatient and mean. The staff interrupted me several times when I tried to explain my orders. I am wondering if they treat foreign customers bad because of discrimination.

Everyone was very friendly and I felt welcomed. I appreciated how during my exam, everything was explained to me. When I was choosing my frames and lenses, I appreciated the help and no one was pushy in trying to sell something I didn’t need.

I took my 100 year old Uncle for a long overdue eye exam and checkup. Dr. Kim and his staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Kim was very attentive and thorough, my uncle easily followed his directions and genuinely liked Dr. Kim. When my uncle ‘s new glasses were ready for pick up, due to transportation issues, Dr. Kim personally delivered them to my uncle’s assisted living facility as Dr. Kim lived nearby. That was a big help to our family since we live out of state! We highly recommend Eye Contact Optometry.
