EZ Smog Check Oakland - Star Certified Test Only

Cheerful, fast, and knowledgeable. I was unprepared for having my emissions test be such a good experience, but it was. We got in and out with no hassles and with everything we need to take to the DMV. Great job.

This was the easiest and quickest smog check I’ve ever had. EZ Smog Check is a small, one person operation. He was polite and efficient. I liked that I could make an appointment in addition to just showing up. I will always have my car checked there.

Yes a bit of a drive from my house, saw the ad online, scheduled an appointment and drove on up. Simple system as necessary for a test only facility. As I was needing a STAR smog check they had to add $15 more (as expected)

However it was quick, simple and was in and out in short order

Went in to get a smog check directly after taking my car from a week at an auto mechanic's shop, thinking it would be good to go but turns out my engine was overfilled by 3 quarts! Jason was super helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that my car was safe, clean and ready to drive home by draining the oil and power washing it all down after. I am definitely coming back here for future smog checks and would recommend Jason to anyone.

Extremely poor customer service. Better stay away from this place. White guy in his 30’s works there will rip you off. What a crook

I have an older car (1999) and most places didn’t have the appropriate machines and/or, if they did, I was quickly told that they weren’t operational. In going to EZ Smog, I actually learned that their machine was down too, but Jason made sure he got it serviced quickly, and he followed up with me when his testing equipment was up and running. He performed my smog test without any issue. He’s efficient and clearly knows his stuff! I was super happy with his service and dedication and his willingness to follow-up with me showed that he truly cares about his customers! I’ll be a loyal customer going forward!

Was not intimidated by CNG, burnt his fingers, didn't charge me extra for the burnt fingers. $98 for 94 Dodge Ram Van B250 CNG without OBD-II. There was a bit of a wait at 11am.

Fast! Ten minutes (approximately) from the time I pulled in, last Sunday, until I was done. Gas passed (which was no surprise), only the speed was surprisingly fast.

I would have given zero stars if that was possible at all. This smog station had earned all its stars thanks to the previous technician Cengiz who was excellent. The new management is a disaster. Only go there if you have time to waste and if you enjoy dealing with capricious and unprofessional people. Too bad.

I was in and out within approximately 15 minutes, though I did schedule an appointment online. It looks like it may be a one man owned and operated business. It felt good to support a small business especially during the times we are living in, when businesses and people are struggling. The price was affordable compared to other Smog Shops, it was about $57 for my 2012 Ford Focus SEL and I needed a STAR Smog check for my DMV Registration. My vehicle passed. Thank you to the owner/gentleman that did the Smog check.

Jason is a great guy and knows his trade. He is honest and good. I have a 5 cylinder 2.7 liter Mercedes/Dodge 2005 diesel sprinter, and he knows how to smog them. If you need your Sprinter smogged and others won't or can't touch them.go see Jason. He has the experience. In and Out. Easy Peazy!

Cengiz is the most honest, easygoing technician I've ever dealt with. THIS IS THE CHEAPEST & QUICKEST SMOG STATION IN THE BAY AREA! Look for how ever long you want. Waste your time skimming thru pages and calling up other spots. But I guarantee you will not find a better deal anywhere close.

Don't let these other reviews poison your idea of EZ Smog Oakland. We all know some ppl who can never be satisfied. Just give this place an honest try. You will not be disappointed.
