Gym F2R Athletics reviews
20Had a great workout at this gym. Nothing fancy, no gimmicks. Just great gear, equipment and top-notch coaches. Special shoutout to Coach Gwen who always made sure I was in good form.
My son enjoys working out at the gym with coach Alex & Mar to improve his agility, coordination, and strength to augment his soccer training. It is a really great space with many possibilities for a good workout.
Great experience at F2R. The trainers are really dedicated and really care about the clients. Would highly recommend if your looking for knowledgeable trainers and someone to push you to be your best.
Fit 2 ripped has giving me so much, after an emotional break-up, i needed something like they offer, highly reccomended if you want to get your life back on track
Such a great environment… get right down to business and work hard. Marlyn and Alex are amazing and really know their stuff!
Tried out F2R for the first time today. Really awesome place! The staff and members were very welcoming. Alex and his staff really focus on strength training and making sure you are lifting/exercising safely with proper form and technique. As a physical therapist, I can appreciate the attention to detail and education they provide. Workout was tough, but felt great after. Really enjoyed my first workout, looking forward to going back, highly recommend!
Absolute banger of a gym. You really get the feeling the owners care not only for fitness but the overall attention and discipline that comes for caring and maintaining a gym which only contributes to the overall vibe. Highly recommend
Alex and Marlyn are incredibly respectful and professional. They have a beautiful gym and show how much they care about each individual that walks in their gym. One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to.
Alex and Marlene are amazing coaches, I won’t work out anywhere else because it just won’t be as good! Seriously, this is that place you go to really get in shape.
I found this gym randomly one day when I was walking and decided to stop in and check it out. I was greeted by Marlyn, the manger/coach, who was super friendly and welcoming. She gave me some info on the gym and a few days later I bought 10 boot camp classes on Groupon. Before I had even finished all 10 classes, I had signed up for a full membership. I was looking for a gym community that was supportive and fun but also focused on improving at the same time, and I found it here at F2R. Alex, the head coach/owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and invests in his members well being. If you're looking for a high quality gym with high quality people, look no further than F2R.
I came once and got hooked and now I want to keep coming back. If you're looking for a great workout for any level from beginner to advanced come and check it out!
It’s always scary joining a new gym but F2R makes you feel like family. I already feel stronger than when I started less than a month ago. No matter what fitness level you’re at you’ll improve and excel in just a few short weeks. Excited and thankful for what I’ve gained and learned so far and looking forward to what’s to come!
F2R Athletics is truly a great gym! There are a few things that set this gym apart from all the rest. I am an avid gym goer and over the years come to find most gyms are just there to collect your money. THIS GYM focuses on educating their clients on technique/form and the biomechanics of the body along with their strength/conditioning classes. Their classes are great and challenging at every level, you will always get a good workout. If you are looking for a gym to help guide you to reach your fitness goals and take you to that next level, this is the place to go!
I took two classes here. Personal Fitness training tailored to fitness level. Great for training for a Tough Mudder or a Spartan Race or Dekka! It seems to be moderate to intense, so pick this place if you want to improve quickly and aren't concerned about that. The space is kind of like a giant storage unit, well-ventilated and with a surprising amount of equipment packed in there. (All the equipment is kept very clean. It does have a bathroom.)
Alex, the lead trainer and owner at F2R prioritizes training clients in form and fundamentals, and also has researched some advanced and more esoteric techniques. (While I was there, Marlyn the second head trainer (I think) did a demonstration and discussion of cupping, a suction-based topical practice affecting skin, blood flow, and the muscles beneath).
Saturday, the gym has extra time focused on theory and strategy 8-9am, with lots of stretching and discussion. It's a learning session for in-depth answers to questions. The general expectation is that clients attend two or more weekday trainings (as early as 5: 30 AM for y'all early birds out there) as well as Saturday 8-10am.
When I was there, Alex put an emphasis on training that was transferrable; he said that his main goal was for clients to gain fitness knowledge and skills they could take to any gym. I asked Alex about my training goals for rock climbing and distance running and he had solid pointers and tips tailored to my needs; I was super pleased with the discussion we had. It was not just him talking, he listened to what I had to say too. Alex uses competition between groups as a motivator. On Saturday we did several rounds of exercises in that format, which I found compelling. Other clients were helpful in checking my form and answering questions. All in all it was very fun and of course tiring.
They have a three day free trial (over about four consecutive days you can come in up to 3 times for free.)
Excellent site to grow stronger and learn everything about physical and mental health!
Great place to grow stronger and learn everything about physical and mental health!
Educational, challenging and fun. Alex is a no nonsense trainer who focuses on lifestyle changes for a holistic approach to fitness. Loved my experience here.
If you want a life style change, motivation, mentorship, growth and family F2R is your home. You will not regret stepping foot inside this gym. I welcome everyone to stop by and try it once, you will not find another gym like this gem.
This gym has been an asset to our lives. Honestly, if you are looking for a place that will challenge you and motivate you to be the best version of yourself this is the gym. Alex and Mar along with their team have been nothing less than welcoming, enlightening, educating, and inspirational to me. Be prepared to sweat and feel great.
Amazing coaching, incredible workouts! Coach Alex gave me one-on-one support to problem solve and injury I've been struggling with and I was able to run with no issues for the first time in years. I can't recommend this gym enough!
This gym is amazing! From the coaches, to the members, and just the over all environment. Couches push you to your best potential and encourage you to meet goals. Everyone is so welcoming and the overall vibes are great! I really enjoy the group classes, they are fun and challenge me in a good way.
