The food is okay.
The burger was good, I'd get again.
I'd skip the dinner carrots next time, too much sauce.
The crispy sourdough pancakes do not stand a chance compared to Everyday Eatery or Shorebird. I won't order again.
The apple beignets are very good, but would've been even better with a side of caramel.
The avocado toast was pretty good! I'd get it again.
The fries were not crispy, just soggy sad fries. However, I'll continue to try things.
The atmosphere is very swanky and we loved it.

My husband and I met our friends here for a double date to celebrate a birthday. My friend is a big time Foodie and she highly recommended Fable & Spirit. The inside was super classy with quality furniture, and they have a huge wine selection. The service was great, just as you would expect from a nice restaurant.

When we went they had a popular fries chicken special and a bacon burger. Both were mouth-watering and absolutely delicious. We ordered brussel sprouts for the table and each had a couple cocktails. Mine had a little roach (really just burning sage for the aroma) and was very tasty.

This is a perfect spot for a fancy dinner to celebrate a special occasion or just for a nice date night. 10/10

My wife and I have been visiting this wonderful place for a little while now.
Johnny and Luis are experts in bartending.
You can see how much care they take into crafting each cocktail.
Happy hour has never been as enjoyable!

This was our second time here and it was a hit, again. Great cocktails, service was good and the food was excellent. Started with the Brussels sprouts and Guinness brown bread they were addicting! Short rib was also very good as well as the rack of lamb. Paired with he red wine save to cut the gaminess and you’re in for a treat. Desserts are where this place kinda falls apart. I’d skip dessert here and take a walk to find another little ice cream shop or somewhere else to finish off the night.

Extremely impressed. The ambience and decor, the service, the drinks, and most importantly the food… FIVE STARS. You guys are excellent. A taste of Ireland. Have a real Guinness and enjoy the excellent flavors. You can’t go wrong here. Park behind by West Marine and it’s free easy access parking.

Nice restaurant with great service. Also, the ambiance is fun, although a bit noisy.

Food is really good. The downside is that the portions could be twenty percent bigger.

Guinness Brown Bread is a must have appetizer. Bone marrow appetizer is done well. Side brussel sprouts are nice. The fish and chips are good, but the star of the dish just might be the smashed peas.

It's worth it to travel to this restaurant; it's not just for locals. Good food and good times.

Love the scene here. Make your reservation using Open Table. The food is marvelous. Unfortunately, their bread pudding is the dense kind. Still tasty but I prefer to be able to see the separate bread pieces soaked with custard.

Another wonderful culinary experience at Fable & Spirit. Macy our server was great. We enjoyed as shareables the Guinness Brown Bread, the Hamachi crudo, butternut squash ravioli (incredible!), the pork belly and Brussel Sprouts. They were all delightful and disappeared quickly from our table of 5. For mains we had the bucatini, salmon, halibut, chicken confit, porchetta, and short ribs (yes, a party of five ordered six mains and we did have some leftovers). Really enjoyed the atmosphere too.

Great experience eating at Fable & Spirit. The cocktails and wine selection were great. The food was amazing and the restaurant also had a very tasty options for our vegetarian friends that accompanied us. The Octopus, rabbit, and bone marrow were all amazing appetizers. I really enjoyed the rack of lamb and halibut dinner plates. The Risotto is amazing! If you have any room left, I strongly encourage you to get the pumpkin spice cheesecake. The atmosphere is great, even if you're seated outside like we were. Many heaters and the staff is very accommodating.

It's a pretty decent brunch place with a great vibe—a place for a weekend chill with friends. The food is just right; nothing particularly stands out that would make me crave a return visit. The sandwiches, mussels, and other dishes did what they should, but it's not enough to make me want more. I'd recommend it for trying out new places, but it doesn't top my list of the best—at least, based on my taste buds!

This is my new fave resto in OC.
Every single dish was amazing! The bone marrow, bucatini, bread and the pepper margarita! Wow

Fable and spirit will not disappoint. Also our server was friendly, welcoming and on point! 10 out of 10!

A Michelin-recommended restaurant,   Fable & Spirit has quite a following in southern California.    We arrived early on Saturday evening to beat the rush.   We began with the rabbit fricasee which was absolutely delightful,   quite the taste of confit with baby potatoes,   mushrooms & baby turnip.   We continued sampling the woodfired octopus, served with chorizo,   baby potatoes and shishito peppers; absolutely tender and delightful.   Then came the steelhead salmon with farro and kale.   This salmon was done medium rare and one of the best I have had in a while; soft, moist and melted before the bite.   The Monterey Pinot Gris was a perfect accompaniment. We also had the Guinness bread which was rich,   warm and soft; served with honey butter,   what a delight.    Finally we finished with blueberry lemon brioche bread pudding, warm and more delicious than any cake. The only thing missing here was that they didn't serve espresso which was so needed at the end.    Thank you for a delectable dinner and impeccable service.

The bone marrow was melt in your mouth and delicious - we shared with a friend who hadn’t tasted before and he asked for seconds. The octopus was perfectly cooked - a rarity in the US. The halibut was melting and also perfectly cooked / textured. Again not easy to find. And the short ribs were nothing short of fabulous. Our large party shared a single serving of bread pudding for dessert (birthday celebration) and there were several comments expressed about everyone wishing they had their own! Altogether absolutely spectacular and cannot *wait* to go back!

This used to be my fav place but brunch is disappointing. Coffee has a bitter aftertaste and brunch is nothing to write home about. Dinner is much better as are the cocktails

The food is good. The vibe is good. However, it is sooooo slow! I thought I am having French cuisine? It. Takes an hour for the main dish….

Wonderful service and great food. It’s a little pricey but you get high quality in return so absolutely worth it. Michelin knows how to rate a great restaurant.
