Fairouz Cafe & Gallery reviews
17Very good food. Even better conversation with the owner and author/artist. We really enjoyed our "experience" at Fairouz.
Wonderful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere. My group ordered three of the specialty dishes. Each dish was nice, but rather bland. I recommend they work on increasing the flavor or perhaps add complementary choices of seasonings on the side. Or request when your order.
We loved that place. There are not only incredible tasty food, but also wonderful arts around. Our family enjoyed!
I had a wonderful experience ordering food to go. I got a delicious lamb dinner plate that was made with love. Al was an amazing guy. I enjoyed looking at his artwork and reading his poetry. I had never been here before and I felt so welcome and comfortable chatting. I highly recommend for some great Mediterranean food and company!
Came in for lunch I have to say besides the food being delicious and authentic, I had a great convo with the owners who made me feel like I was family the whole time!
We had an amazing experience of gracious hospitality, delicious food and a journey of Palestine through exquisite and expressive paintings and greeting cards. Thank you Al
This restaurant has great food, perfect atmosphere, the people are the best. A great experience!
The best restaurant yours truly has ever been to. The food is flawless, but it's the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that sets it apart. The owner is a Renaissance Man whose beautiful paintings hang beside you and whose profound poetry is at your table. The place has been around for 40 years, but looks brand new. There's plenty of good, artsy restaurants, but none have inspired me or nourished my soul like this one.
Delicious food, a wonderful restaurant, and beautiful details on the walls summarizing the wonderful journey of the Mrs. Sahar and Ibrahim
Beautiful, beautiful place. The art hanging up on the walls, and the poetry all throughout the restaurant are enough to blow you away, but then the food comes out.and it just makes it a 10/10 experience. It's like going to a museum and enjoying an authentic meal all at the same time, and for a great price.that's hard to find. My husband and I love this place - it's packed with history and deep emotions. We bought a beautiful print from Mr. AlNashishibi (the owner of the restaurant and a great artist and poet) - it's hanging in our living room, "The Seven Moons of Jerusalem. " I highly recommend this place.and the mansaf! Delicious!
I love this place I felt so welcomed by Ibrahim and Sahar! Got the shawarma plate with tabouli and both were phenomenal. Fairouz's music and exceptional artwork made the place extra special! Definitely coming back next time I’m in San Diego!
Excellent and tasty Halal (the owner said) food. A good restaurant with good people. Food is likely to be good when the owner and the people working there are good.
Al is the best! The food is amazing, best humus in town! If it's been awhile, it's time to go back. Al, the owner, gives personal service and his artwork adorns the walls. You will leave happy, full, and enlightened!
Excellent place! Relaxing, welcoming, delicious and amazing people! The art is beautiful. We had such a nice time here.
The gyro salad was amazing, and the food on the whole was delicious, flavorful, and satiating. The main showstopper, however, was the owner, Al Nashashibi. He created all of the art on the walls, wrote all of the poems on the tables, and has an incredibly warm and open personality. If you get a chance and he is available, ask him about the art, his muses, and his life experiences. You’ll walk away with a renewed zest for life.
Al Nashashibi has created something so special here. A delectable combination of food, art, and poetry. This establishment immediately felt welcoming. If I were a local, this would be my favorite restaurant in town.
We had a wonderful dinner here with my family when we were close by for SeaWorld. This place was very cozy decorated with bueatiful paintings. For food we got beef shawarma and kafta. The food and service was very exceptional. We will definetly visit this place when are in San Diego again.
