Faith Presbyterian Church, North Hollywood CA

God's work is done here. I am not Presbyterian, but anyone can see that this is a place of gentle, caring souls. I visited to attend the Valley Village Residents Association. They use the meeting hall there as a community gathering place. Many other groups do as well, I have heard. Goodness attracts goodness. The respected Colfax Charter Elementary School is across the street.

The Los Angeles Police Officer (he asked to be addressed as Rob - a friendly gesture) who attended the meeting took the time to address the residents and listened to our collective concerns. When I offered up a particular corner near my house as one of my issues, he immediately recognized the address. I was impressed when he listed the measures being taken to correct the situation. I have been trying to catch the ear of someone in authority who could take some kind of action. Officer Rob explained that they don't have time to respond personally to every complaint, but they are heard and promptly dealt with. The nuances of the machine work here.

So, the Faith Presbyterian Church continues on, quietly, like the police do, changing things for the better in ways that can not always be seen. Officer Rob said it may be the last place in the San Fernando Valley where the 'Neighborhood Watch' actively patrols the streets and looks out for neighbors. It's like a thing with us, I guess.

Anyway, ask anybody. Valley Village is a beautiful place to live. Faith Presbyterian Church, on 5000 Colfax Bl, is a testament to the good nature of the area. This is just another of my reviews of the most wonderful, family-oriented in Los Angeles. Valley Village. Three thumbs up. Amen.
