Farm & Vine American Bistro reviews
17Price for performance was definitely there. About $50 per person cocktail, appetizer, main.no dessert (not including tip).
Attentive, prompt, and friendly service. Tried only a couple of dishes, but everyone around me complimented their entries. The four mushrooms and the pasta were fresh, delicious, and included an edible flower. The presentation of the desserts could be elevated a bit to finish with a full strawberry or a green leaf.
Food and service were very good. Had the clam/mussel appetizer (as my entree) which was really good with their survival salad. My friend had the arugula salad and cauliflower soup and really enjoyed it. I thought the app/entree was a little smaller than I expected but still really good. The grilled bread that came with it was really good too. No I liked that they had fregola in it. Nice decor and ambience but pretty noisy. Would definitely return.
This is my favorite place to go to in the Bay Area. Squid ink pasta all day here. There short rib is also super delicious.
Arriving early with an elderly was optimal for ease of drop off, and the person was able to easily navigate to the table, as well as hear conversation at a normal level. The owner, name Okay, was soooooo lovely, welcoming, caring and friendly. He chatted with the elder while the cat was parked. Such respect for the elderly, it was refreshing. The food was so fresh and satisfying. The burrata starter was great and they accommodated gluten free by keeping the focaccia on a separate plate. The brussel sprouts were very lackluster and need a complete reworking. A family member loved their perfect, golden garlic bread. The short ribs were wonderful as were the gnocchi in pesto cream. The capellini with chicken was enjoyed by the elder member and was reported to be perfect. The chicken with that dish was perfectly cooked and was like butter. The salmon with fresh jicama and orange segments was so fresh and delicious. We all look forward to visiting again. Sadly, Burlingame is putting up huge buildings so the lovely open sky feel of the town is dying. Parking is easy despite the ugly look of the construction on the street with an outdoor lot on the back alley and has metered parking. Desserts were very nice. The mousse was done perfectly but was just too too sweet. After such healing, healthy food it would be nice to have a barely sweet dessert. The profiteroles were reported to be delicious with gelato inside by a family member. The servers were darling, smiley, fun and friendly. The place is contemporary and the open, sliding glass windows made inside dining just like outside. Plenty of seats outside as well. The prosecco was adequate and a nice touch with salmon on a warm, sunny Easter afternoon.
Just off the hubbub of Burlingame Ave, this restaurant is a consistent win for brunch, lunch, or dinner!
Innovative cocktails, delicious specials, and reliable, outstanding regular menu items.
The atmosphere is elegant, and the service is friendly and attentive. Don’t miss this one!
Can't believe I waited so long to finally try this restaurant after I moved to this area. We were here for lunch and immediately decided to come back next weekend for dinner. We ordered three courses, Salad, penne and chicken, and wagyu beef burger. We finished everything!
Nice place, busy on weeknights which is good. We had a fairly large group and the restaurant was very accommodating. Service was good, nice staff. Appetizers were decent and their on-the-house focaccia was very tasty. The special they had that night I went was a seafood risotto which was okay. I've had better. Should have gone for the truffle gnocchi which is always my go-to but I had to try something different that time.oh well. At least the company was great as usual, that's all that mattered.
This is a really great place to stop for a bite to eat. I loved the chicken sandwich and my friend had the Ciopinno. It was topped off with a most delicious Panna Cotta for dessert. The ambiance is warm & welcoming. Staff was perfectly attentive. We didn't have cocktails but I think it would be fun to be at the bar. There is construction in the area and I found parking a block away. I sure wish I'd known about this place sooner.already making plans to return!
Lovely place to share lunch with my cousin! She had the Caesar salad with Salmon and I had a Caprese sandwich with soup. Sparkling water and a glass of wine added to the meal!
Delicious food and cocktails. Only feedback is for the paella (slightly disappointed that it didn't have the traditional crunchy rice on the bottom
Wonderful restaurant. You’ll be very happy with their menu. I felt like eating light so I ordered the fennel crusted tuna over salad. The tuna was cooked perfectly and was complemented very well with the salad and dressing. Service was on point with everything, they are very familiar with menu and extensive wine list. This is a place worth checking.
Had lunch with my niece and family, staff was very attend and so responsive to our needs. My two year grand nephew had a good time too. Food was fabulous and right quantity.
Came here for the first time to celebrate Father’s Day with my family of six. Never realized how cute Burlingame was.
Anyway, I made ressies on Open Table and there were lots of available times, even for a busy day such as Father’s Day.
Our server Sam was super friendly and very attentive to our needs…. Extra ketchup, extra dressing, cocktails served up vs on the rocks; you name it, we asked for it. She was nothing but accommodating and awesome. You rock SAM!
Food was good and the service was great, however the kitchen was backed up and understandable as it was Father’s Day. Sam made up for it by waiving our corkage fee which would normally be $20 (still pretty darn reasonable if you ask me).
Didn’t take photos of all our meals, but I got as much as I could. Really liked the food & drinks, ambiance, and service. I would definitely return again.
Some notes:
There is a bar with a TV; was able to catch the second half of the Giants game.
Parking can be hard but just drive around. We went on Father’s Day AND there was a farmers’ market.
Portions are a pretty good size.
My husband and I moved to Burlingame about a year ago and this was one of the first restaurants we tried. Ever since we have become regulars, usually coming every couple weeks. We love everything about this place! The menu has a great variety and they are always adding fresh options, not to mention everything we have tried has been phenomenal! The staff is attentive and incredibly kind as well with amazing service. The owner is so friendly and welcoming and remembers us every time greeting us with a warm welcome! If you are in the area, this place is a great homey option to grab dinner or even have a nice date night!
Incredibly delicious food and friendly service! The salmon was so flavorful, and my friend loved the risotto. Definitely recommended the salted caramel gelato for dessert!
Not very impressed. The tuna was one of the worst cut I've ever eaten. Much of it was not edible and way over priced. Not coming back.
