They were super understanding and patient when I was having payment issues, and the braids come out beautiful despite the length of my hair:)

The worst experience. The owner lied to begin. The staff was rude while braiding my hair. I was in extreme pain the whole 9 hours of braiding. The braider was insensitive to my needs of the damage being cause to my scalp. The shop was dirty. I felt like my money was wasted, because I had to take the braids out as soon as I left the shop. Never will I recommend anyone to do business there. While doing my hair the braided was making jokes about my hairstyle she have me too the other braiders in their language. The staff was very rude. Kids running all over the place. No professionalism at all. Men hanging in the shop while everyone is speaking their language. The worst experience. Won't go back

Found this shop at the last minute. My Braider had cancelled on me twice and I was in desperate need. I called and the number went straight to voicemail and I did not leave a message. Fatou called me back from her missed calls (I was very impressed by that) and she was able to do my hair the next morning. We text several times before my appointment and she immediately answered all my questions. I told her she has a new customer. I love my hair, she was on time quick and very professional.

My hairdresser was rough with my head and kind of dismissive. She finished quickly and my braids came out decent enough but not worth what I was charged. They waited to tell me the price when things were done not upfront, and when it was time to pay they treated me like I wouldn’t if I didn’t leave collateral. I will not return. I did enjoy the environment though, the staff is light spirited although they only spoke to those who spoke French lol so I was just observing things while my hair was vigorously combed

DO NOT GO HERE THEY OVER CHARGE AND CONSTANTLY CHANGE PRICES FROM THE MOMENT YOU WALK N THE DOOR N LEAVE. It hasn’t even been 24 hrs and one of braids has Already began to come down. These braids were 200! UNACCEPTABLE AND THEN THE GIRL BLOCKED ME you can see the braid coming down!

Update: it’s been a week and many braids have began to come down! PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE IT WILL BE A WASTE

They thought that I didn’t understand the language that they spoke and I understood, and found out that they were speaking badly about me and the other clients.

I only trust Fatou with my hair. Her prices are reasonable, and her shop does beautiful work.

Sadly out of desperation I stopped by this local African salon. I knew going in it would be overpriced, but underskilled, definitely didnt expect that. My understanding was Fatou had travelled, 3 others were left in the salon. Patiencely trusting the sweet muslim sister, once again I would be robbed trusting an African to be honest.
It took less than an hour to braid my natural hair and another hour+ of my time was wasted taking down braids as the braider could not get the design pattern. (2) persons with pictures for reference, and still I was not sucessful in my lemonade side braids.
$140 for no hair added and a bunch of crooked parts, (19) braids to be exact. Smiling telling me how georgrous my braids where. Reality set in when I got outside and was quickly reminded how bad they looked and how I was overchaged. While in the beauty supply a conversation started and there was nothing good to say about this location as others shared their horror stories. When reaching out to express my concerns of how dissatified I was, I was told "I should be happy with what I got". Not to worry, I wont be back - ever. What I learned: (1) anyone can braid, but not everyone is a craftsman. (2) when my braider says wait, just be patience.
