Twice our online was done wrong. We ordered the Sampler Platter. Apparently they give you what they want. Not what you order. This is at the Oceanside location. Not going there again. Maybe we'll try the Carlsbad location. Overall the food is good. Make sure to check your order before leaving

Food here absolutely slaps. Pulled pork and mac n cheese are favorites. Just be aware that this place is their prep kitchen, I would exclusively order takeaway from this location. If you want a sit down experience go to the San Marcos location.

I LOVE FÉLIX but man oh man was i disappointed in my sad sad plate today. I always get the Clara’s brisket platter cuz the meat is so tender and can rip apart with ease but this plate is strips of well done steaks lathered in bbq sauce. Looks like my dog is having a really good lunch today. I will still be coming here though because It’s good just do better Felix

I went there Friday October 13th.should have known.for lunch. Ordered gumbo soup, rib eye steak, Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries. Elderly parents ordered their dishes. Waitress forgets my soup.never got it. Comes with all three dishes and no Mac and cheese, instead I get candied yams and tough.cheap, dried out piece of what I suppose one could call meat. Would have been better going to an IHOP or Wendy’s smh. Disappointing food, service and atmosphere. Overpriced and nasty

Wow. Everything is amazing. Friendly people, incredible food, couldn't ask for more. Just exactly perfect.

Their BBQ truck on Oceanside Blvd near Fousatt is the bomb! Reasonably priced plus authentic and delicious BBQ!

Bootsie was remarkable. She treated us with such great care. To quote her - “We wanna treat you, not cheat you. ” Her service made it clear that she truly believed what she said.

First time trying this place and just wish we had done it sooner. The food and service is excellent! Ordered the sampler to try different foods and everything was great! Can’t wait to order other items.

Good food, and service. This location reminds me of the neighborhood restaurants back home.

I'm dreaming about those greens! Wow, they are so flavorful and smoky. The cornbread, mac & cheese, and hot sauce were bomb too. As others have mentioned, this is a better to go spot. I haven't tried the Oside location yet, but the staff at Cbad said that the other location has lots of seating and even live music sometimes. The desserts sound amazing as well. See you guys in Oside soon!

Absolute gem of a BBQ pit, not the best place to dine in, but the food is better than most named brands. The meat is juicy and tender, fried chicken was cooked to order. Family said this was the best meal we had in San Diego.

We a ordered two lunch racks of baby back ribs. They we so tough I had to re-cook them in my airfryer before we could eat them. The sides were great, the service was outstanding the ribs were 1 star.

My Son and I smoke food our selves. We had rib tips and baby backs which are very good. I hope that the Carlsbad store continues to grow and they can increase the size of the store.

Great soul food, fish is crunchy and flavorful. Best brisket in town! Get extra corn muffins!

Ordered: HOUSE SALAD & LUNCHBOX BABY BACK RIBS w/ mac n cheese & french fries.

House salad 2/10 - Pretty big salad for just being $8 so very happy with that and it looked very good. BUT WASH YOUR LETTUCE. I took one bite and could already tell the lettuce wasn't washed by how grainy it was and then seeing the dirt I had throw it away.
Ribs 8/10 - They are good, could be more meatier but they are good.
Mac n cheese 0/10 - Sorry but I took one look at it and picked at it with my fork and just said "No". Threw it away.
French Fries 10/10: Amazing Fries!

The ribs and fries truly carried the entire meal.

I tried a different item on the menu, the Angus Steak bbq sandwich. Excellent. I also had a slice of the Key Lime Cake. I was so full, I had to take it "to go" as there was no room left to consume it there.

As always, the food, service and atmosphere was excellent, Felix. Glad that we all survived the Covid and we can once again dine in.
