Ferrell's Donut House reviews
26Come at Midnight as all the Fresh made dounuts come out. Great variety along with your favorites like Bear Claws as big as your hand, whip cream filled chocolate bars and Raspberry filled.
Best: Glazed buttermilk bar, cinnamon twist or swirl, apple fritter, bear claw contains Apple filling.
Friendly, "homey" atmosphere. Respectful, cordial staff. Great, freshly baked donuts and pastries.
The best rainbow donuts I've ever had love them sometimes I come from San Jose just for the rainbow sprinkles. Highly recommend this place for the donuts and coffee.
I have always had a language barrier with these people. If I ask too many questions they will get mad. Like wen I found a piece of white apron in my buttermilk bar? They asked me HOW I ATE MY BUTTERMILK BAR? Who cares HOW I EAT IT? ! I found someone's old dirty apron in my donut! I WAS OFFERED ONE FREE DONUT!
The donuts they sell inside look pretty good, but the crystal meth they sell in the parking lot is garbage. Also the coffee sucks.
I like this shop because the staff there are always kind, the price's are AWESOME, the quality of the food is great (especially for it's price) and there's a nice cozy sitting area to chill out and relax at.
Ferrell's Donuts are field trip material. Like going to the zoo for my family. If you live on donuts, I'm not going to lecture you on organic food. If you like donuts Ferrells does a decent job of providing your sugary carb cardiovascular dooming treat. It's your body-so it should be your rules. They seem to be local & the grooviest thing is that no one I know goes there, so if I want to go somewhere where no one would expect to find me, it's perfect. To paraphrase Harold & Kumar "Donuts Rock! "
Pulled in off Ocean street to be greeted by tweakers in the parking lot and garbage everywhere. Didn't even park and left. I like my glass to stay in my vehicle thanks. Sorry Ferrell, the homeless have ruined this location and I will not be coming back.
My favorite donut shop! Local tip - stop by for a late dessert, ask which donuts just came out of the oven and try whatever kind they have that are still warm. You won't be sorry, they are so delicious and practically melt in your mouth!
Not bad, but not great. Jelly donuts in the mission in SF has better donuts for $1. This place does have cronuts though, and they are ok.
Well. It's open. It has no love from the owner's though. They hate people. They hate working. They maybe hate food. It's depressing.
Cronut was so good - nice glazed crispy layers in the shape of a doughnut. Good prices. Nice variety. Streusel was a little dry but the cream cheese and strawberry pastry was thick and delicious. One guy is really nice. Other times I've been there a different guy was creepily quiet and unfriendly.
Get there early for a good selection of super yummy donuts, muffins, croissant, and pastries. This is a family owned place that I habitually visit every morning for a ham cheese croissant. It might not be big, new and shiny like the big chain place across the street, but you’ll see why this is were the locals get there donuts. These guys make them fresh every day on site, and if you come late at night, you can get a hot sticky donut off the cooling rack. Enjoy:)
I should have took a photo of the food but it was too good to interrupt. I will probably become a regular. This place has many good reviews for a reason.
Good spot for an old school donut. Nice range of donut styles, one for everyone. Give you a secret here, if you ask them they will fill any of their long johns upon request, and possibly a few others. They also have e ice cream if you don't like your bad calories coming grain based. Another classically Santa Cruz shop.
Just went in to get donuts and they shorted my boyfriend and I and then said they when in there we order 3 each and only got 3 after we pay almost $11. Will never go again!
Great donuts and great staff.you can even get drugs right outside the door from one of the homeless people.
They short me donuts whenever then can and will dispute that they gave them to you! Never come here, I know I'm not going to again. Nothing but a nasty shack filled inside and out with vagrants.
