Figaro Dessert Cafe reviews
19It was a very last minuet decision and I’m so glad we made it. We got one savory one sweet and both were so delicious! I love all things coffee and crepes this place did not disappoint. Looking forward to coming back!? ️
I have NO IDEA, why there was a line outside.
I got two pastries for $20 and may I say, it did NOT taste that expensive.
Came here with my husband for some late night gelato cravings and were actually quite disappointed!
Don't get me wrong, the flavors were really nice. It's just that serving size was too small.
We tried the Salted Caramel, the Stracciatella and Tiramisu, and all of them were lovely.
The tiramisu didn't have too strong a coffee flavor, which I actually appreciate!
And salted caramel wasn't too "salty" either. Perfect hint of salted. I don't usually like salted caramel, but this was good.
We ended up getting a medium with Tiramisu and Salted Caramel, and we're hoping for a proper heaping cup-ful, but that thing was barely just filled; only a little bit coming over the top.
TOO SMALL a serving size compared to other gelato places we've been to in San Diego.and very expensive for that amount too. We paid nearly $8 for that, and it was barely any gelato. Definitely not worth going again.
I love everything here. They offer a lot of delicious treats including cakes, ice-cream and coffee.
Cute shop with a ton of sweet and savory offerings. Not much seating, especially on a busy night.
Lobe this little spot. Very unassuming location and easy to miss.
Bit they have a great selection of pastries, cakes, Gelato, and a cafe in a small quaint setting.
I have not had the cakes but have tried several pastries and each time find them to be either good or amazing.
I've never been disappointed, but some time just feel okay with my choice.
The berry opera cake is absolutely amazing and very unassuming. The gentleman helping me decide said it was the best and I wasn't convinced, until it was in my mouth.
The tables are small and snug, and hard to form a lime to actually view the items. This is why I only give 4 stars, but i understand they are limited with a small space.
Definitely a great date night after dinner spot to end the night with a beautiful and delicious confection.
So many delicious gelato flavors! But the tiramisu gelato was by far our favorite—super light and refreshing. Mister Cheesecake was beautiful and had a nice tart blueberry taste. Our favorite dessert was definitely the double mousse cake which was so rich and creamy! Service was awesome too
Service was excellent. Desserts are attractive and the cofee was good too. Small space on inside but there is outdoor seating.
I was introduced to this place by my sister in law. I love this place. Now it's my late night dessert place with the family. My youngest lives the Mango gelato
Ordered Pistachio Strawberry through DoorDash that I ordered in the past which used to be amazing and looked just like presented on their menu. What I received was a small cup of some mousse with absolutely no strawberry compote and just one half of a strawberry thrown on top, not even a full strawberry lol. I don’t know who would let something like that leave their business, embarrassing. I messaged Figaro through DoorDash and no response. I called Figaro directly and asked for a manager. When a supposedly manager answered I simply confirmed ‘are you the manager and what is your name? ’. She sighed and proceeded to ask me how she can help so one more time in case she didn’t hear me I asked if she was the manager and what her name was…I was simply hung up on.
Absolutely great place, great customer service amazing selection of the Gelato and beverages. Can't get enough.
North Park is a great place with plenty of eateries for people with dietary restrictions. This is another gem located in the very heart of North Park where tons of restaurants and breweries are. This cute little dessert place is a great spot for vegans and people with gluten intolerance. They have many gluten free and vegan cakes. Most of their Gelatos are gluten free and they have about 5-6 vegan Gelatos as well. When I saw GF tiramisu, I got so excited and immediately got one. We also got the coconut gelato. The tiramisu was good. I have had better tiramisus but that was before I developed gluten intolerance. This one was also very good considering that it was GF. There were many other desserts that looked so enticing but I wad already full from lunch. The creme Brulee looked so good, maybe I will try next time. The coconut Gelato was the show stealer for us. It was really rich and tasted so good. In all, I am so excited have found this place and I plan to come back to try more of their GF and Vegan items.
Great place to get desserts! They have great selections for gelato on one side and the dessert options are great too. We always come in for a spiced hot chai and it's just always perfect!
Tons of delicious options to choose from. You will leave wanting more regardless of what you get
What a cafe! Loved there desserts. Ordered Mango Mouse, Chocolate trifle and blueberry cheese cake and all three were delicious.
Going again to try savory crepes
Amazing red velvet cake, 10/10
Friendly staff.
Miss: not sure why we got “to go” cups for our coffee and tea if we dinned in. They used to give you a nice cup for your tea and a small sand clock to measure how long to leave the tea bag. Good value when you get the cup and the entire experience, but it felt expensive after getting that generic paper cup.
Expensive deserts and staff dont know how to pack this expensive stuff properly. By the time you get home your stuff will be all over packaging. What a shame! Please improve.
Desserts are okay, not sure how they have stellar reviews but never going back. The tiramisu they have here are tart and with a cake base compared to ladyfinger base. Also, the top layer of crème brûlée wasn’t as hard so I didn’t get to feel the usual crunchiness. The only good dessert was the ball like dark chocolate mousse. Other than that, too overpriced and wouldn’t recommend.
This place is great.
If you are in the neighborhood and you need coffee and some dessert. This is the place.
