Fillmore Fish Hatchery reviews
10Brought the grandkids. They had fun feeding the fish. Some parts closed due to underground spring flooding some areas.
I loved coming here as a kid and I love now taking my kids here as well! I love that the food is free instead of through the machine like they used to. Thank you for still having this available to the public.
I went to the hatchery with my two girls and my parents. It was definitely a good time! It's free to get in and they provide food to feed the fish yourself in buckets along the run. The run was clean and though there was a lot of fish, I don't feel like they were over crowded. It's clear to me these fish have a good life there and are treated well. The kids had a blast watching the fish jump out of the water to get the food I would recommend this place, but it is outdoors so be aware of the weather before you go. Bring a cup to scoop the food if you don't want fish food smells on your hands. There are restrooms on premises, but the women's side was out of order when we went today. The mens side has only one stall - no baby changing tables.
This is a definite must stop on the 126. Great little place to learn about the fish hatchery process, and now you get to feed the fish for free. Bathrooms are available and a few benches in the shade. Open till 2pm.
Kids always enjoy stopping here to feed the fish. Fish food is free. There ate clean restrooms here, too.
It's always is a fun place for the kids. Can see and feed the fish. Is a right off the freeway. Food to feed the fish is free. No age restrictions.
Very cool. Free buckets of fish food left out so you can feed the thousands of fish. Picnic table available. Definitely bringing my son back.
This was a fun little family outing the buckets of feed that are available to feed the fish made the expirence well worth the trip
Amazing place to take the kids. It's free to enter, and you can feed the trout. They have tubs of food available for you to grab and feed the trout. Fun for little kids.
The fish are beautiful and lively. It's almost all rainbow trout. Free fish food is provided and the fish stay hungry as long as you scatter it about. There's also a wild area just beyond the hatchery per se, where you can see some real monster escapees and even feed them through the fence. Great place to bring the kids, but please teach them respect for the fish.
