Firehouse American Eatery & Lounge

Wonderful vibe and delicious food. We had the avocado BLT, sliders with fries, and a cocktail. More pricey than I'd normally pay for what we got. Really good food but nothing unique. One cocktail was 14$ - that was a joke as it had little flavor. Worst (2 star reasoning) part was that they hosted a vendor fair that night. Cool, the bottom floor is only lounge space and worked perfect for the vendor fair. Part that sucked? They let vendors overflow to the 2nd floor/rooftop where the kitchen is. They were loud, distracting, posted up in the only booths available for eating, and had a spotlight - for real - on a table facing us all eating. I had to move myself to face the other way despite the pain to eat that way. So bright it was forcing a migraine on to me. It was unfortunate and disruptive. Made the "cool" vibe seem annoying. 2/5.

We went to the ale house 12/17 and tried to enjoy the night and the DJ that night kicked my husband out for hovering his hand over the DJ stand. I thought he was joking at first but he called again for a second security guard to kick him out. I am unsure of this dj name but it was absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful to not let your customers enjoy the music and dance along. Never will go again.

Table service is a joke. Overpriced accompanied with a charge for having bottle service that seperate from tip. Otherwise nice to go on a nice day on Sundays.

Absolute terrible security.
We rsvpd to be on the guest list to watch my buddy dj there. We showed up and they said there’s no guest list then another guy came out and told us there is a guest list and he let us in but the first guy just kept saying there’s no guest list they shouldn’t get in. Then one of the members in my party couldn’t get in because she only had a military license but every other bar lets her in, they just wanted any excuse to keep us out. We only stayed because my friend was djing and we were there to support him. We bought a table for $1000 and then my girlfriend gets kicked out because she went to the front of the line to go upstairs after going to the bathroom. Will never be going back here and spending my money again. They over exceeded the number of people there by far, you couldn’t even walk without having to push people out of your way.

We just had drinks here, but we are so excited to come back for food. The bartenders were friendly and amazingly fast and the drinks were unique and delicious. The menu looks amazing and I can't wait to come back!

I wouldn’t recommend going there for a night out. I was there yesterday and the music was pretty wack and the vibe was just stale. And apparently the bouncers are illiterate. They couldn’t read that my non-US ID says clearly my date of birth. I had to show them my passport and ID side by side to show them it’s the same.

One of the better places in Pacific Beach to get food. Service was great and the cleanest bathroom I have seen in a public restroom the entire time I have been at Pacific Beach.

The view speaks for itself. My party was there for hip hop brunch, where the DJ didn't show up but it was advertised as such. My salad was good and the weather was lovely. Giving 4 stars because no DJ thus didn't get full experience.

The location was really nice, I loved the atmosphere of the place. However, at least when we went on a Monday night, the service was mediocre. The drinks we ordered took forever, one of our appetizers came after our entrees, and the menu did not have a lot of dinner options. They claim that the fries were "duck fat fries" but to me they honestly just tasted like normal dry french fries. Not sure I would come here again.

The calamari made me sick and throw up 15 minutes into eating it. After emptying the insides of my stomach into the their toilet, an employee said i had to leave the restaurant because I have had too much to drink. I didn't order any alcohol and had only be there for about half an hour. I told them their chef should leave also and never come back.

Love the open rooftop, hanging plants and music. Crowd is mainly composed of uninteresting college kids (very homogeneous white blonde bros demographics)

The food was good but the service was slow. Still never got refill of our drinks. The Bacon fat Mac and cheese was really good. The burger and chicken sandwich were good.

You guys served me an alchiholic drink and after questioning it several times you assured me it was non alchoholic. I took a drink and found that it did contain Alchohol. Goodbye to my sobriety. 240 days straight without alchohol down the drain. When i brought it up to the manager me andy group were kicked out. No Apologies for what you have done. You should care about the non drinker in your bar who still spends money in your bar. Today you gave no f! @#$.

Trash place cause the security is not prepared, bunch losers stole vaper and I caught they using my vape outside after work…

Horrible experience the staff and the crew of music is for lovers is worts thing that I ever experienced in San Diego. Some guy from music is for lovers decided to kick me out when I personally got invited from a dj from the event. I still had a drink with me, he told the hostess to kick me out from fire house (the fake backstage) and I said no I’m consuming why would you do that, then the hostess called a huge bouncer and they wanted me to leave fire house in that moment. Obviously, since I was consuming food and bottles I was not going to just walk away like that, therefore, I said I will leave this place until I finish my drink. Then two bouncers were pushing me down the stairs and I told them to not touch me. I repeated I will leave when I finish my drink and they started counting as if I was a child. So impolite then three bouncers were against one girl. Insanity, so disgusting. No class. The worst part is that the crew of music is for lovers were so cheap that they were consuming from my bottles and food. Wow haha so embarrassing.

The rudest front door staff, ever experienced. Understood, that you don't want to let a 50 year old woman Into your establishment, without an id.
BUT, to speak to a grown woman with such disrespect and destain is uncalled for. Not to mention, the way he was instigating my male friend with aggressive and threatening tones:
It's only a matter of time before there is a violent incident at that front door and I am assured it will be instigated by the fireside staff

The food is decent and the view is nice. Waitress after taking our order one bringing our drinks we never saw her again. Another easier brought our food out. When we finished our plates were bussed. We waited for a check. Our waitress was busy talking with a table of what we assume were friends. After fifteen minutes I walked to the bar and asked if the bartender could get it check for us. She had to go to the waitress, who was still chatting at the same table. Original waitress still never came over so we had to settle the bill with the bartender.

Someone stole my wallet with driver's license and this place refused to accept my military ID. What kind of place doesn't accept military ID as identification

Unbelievably rude. Friend’s ID was confiscated at entrance.

So disrespectful with ridiculous security who assaults and abuses patrons. Unsafe environment. Incompetent general management. Only after police arrived did they return the ID.

Who steals restaurant.

Ignorant and horrible place. Food & drinks also stinks.

Love it there as right by the beach and good fun vibes of music and people to socialize and good drinks and hot women as the only thing missing is try to bring back the Chargers to San Diego again to have good football parties.
