Firehouse Southwest Station, Bakersfield CA

Nice spot with a lot of things to do. My wife and I wanted to grab dinner and bowl and in theory this place is perfect for this. In reality, the food is good (brisket tacos were awesome!), we got a lane and were served quickly, but the lanes were pretty awful. The lane kept giving us the wrong score and the wrong number of pins would get set up after the first throw. I don’t have super high standards for bowling alleys but I believe if people pay to bowl, the equipment should work properly. We got changed lanes but had the same problems and just accepted that the lanes were problematic. I’m not a fan of the strings attached to the pins but I can get over it if the right number of pins was set up each time. If the lanes worked, this would have been a 5 star experience in my opinion and we’d plan to go back. But we’ll probably try a different spot next time if we want to bowl.

I have nothing nice to say especially for the bartender who helped us. Other than that the only positive comment I have is the sweet server who asked if we were okay. Definitely going down hill.

The service was terrible. We waited an hour for our food only to be told the reason it took so long was because one dish had hair in it and had to be remade. Both dishes arrived cold. The waitress never checked on us to see if we needed anything and she had an attitude. We were told the manager would discount our order. When we went to pay, the discount was $2.00 off the bill. The manager never made eye contact with us let alone apologized personally. We will never eat here again. Worst service and food EVER.

It was an okay experience, the people seemed as they didn't want to work. However, the part that worries me, it is that I got really sick after consuming their food. I had a bad stomach ache, I was vomiting, and everything else you can think of. I'm definitely not going back!
I forgot to mention, my whole family became sick after consuming their food as well, just beware people.

I can say that there is plenty of space in this firehouse. I haven't been here for years. And the layout is different now. Much more accessible with wheelchairs. I thought we ordered something simple. But it took almost an hour for us to get our food. There were only three tables full of people. The rest was empty. Something happened with our food. But our server didn't tell us till it was almost 50 minutes later, then we got our burger for hubby, and I ordered pasta. They had to remake my Pasta. That's what took so long, but we didn't know until our food arrived But something happened to my pasta and they had to remake it, At the time she told my husband I was over at the jukebox picking music. I think I'll stick to the firehouse on Callaway,

Security gave me a hard time upon entry.he. Didn't believe I was the one on my ID picture, he proceeded to ask me if I had a credit card or debit card with my name on it as secondary proof of identity. I showed him my card, and still he argued with me saying it's not me, he finally let me in, but not before giving us all a hard time.

We went in to play some pool. Our server was not great. She did make some mistakes. But, we were greatly surprised about another server who helped us when we got there. He was very nice and very attentive. Because of him, the experience was more pleasant. (Not remember his name. He was very talk and handsome) We had a great time. Recommended

Server was very attentive, pool tables and atmosphere great. My boyfriend ordered a common drink and she brought it when he order another apparently the place was out, also the pretzel appetizer it was small and overpriced, manager drop the ball on restocking alcohol

Ordered takeout, got home and salad literally had lettuce and onion. Paid 16.00 for this salad. It was suppose to be a cobb salad. When I called and asked manager to make it right she told me she didn’t see the salad go out so there was nothing she could do. I asked her to refund me and she hung up on me! Worst manager and experience I’ve ever had. Will definitely not be back.

Definitely a great place to play pool tables are nice clean and the cues are heavy the customer service can be better though it took 30 minutes for two orders of fries yes 30 minutes other then that its a great place to go they also have bowling and darts but I’ll stick to playing billiards overall 8/10

Went here with a friend to play some pool. It was easy to get a pool table, and our server kept checking on us in case we needed anything else. We got a couple drinks and appetizers. Chill place to hang out and play pool, bowl, or watch a game.

We come in late afternoon on Thursday. The service was mediocre and not too attentive. We had the nachos as an appetizer and order a pizza for dinner. Both of them were pretty good. We didn’t receive the correct pizza we ordered, but it was pretty good. We would have sent it back if the waitress was able to be found. The atmosphere was pretty relaxing and they had several games playing on the big screens.

First I have to mention, how hard is it to update your online menu and remove items you don’t serve anymore. Disappointed when told that they don’t have spinach & artichoke dip. Customer service was great. The appetizers macaroni bites, Buffalo cauliflower and potato skins are on point and excellent and that’s were the praise ends. The pizza is the worst! Taste like canned marinara sauce, go to any Chinese buffet in town and have a slice of pizza there it tastes the same. Sadly the tacos are no good. 30 to 40 minute wait for tacos that the tortillas were thick and double stacked with hardly any asada, chicken and onion. The tortillas were cold. The chicken was dry and over cooked. The asada was not trimmed properly. Use your hard earned money somewhere else.

Fun place to hang out with the family, but the service was slow, and the food was just ok.
