Firehouse Subs Commons at La Verne

Love love love, Firehouse subs. So sad they closed down the only one that was actually kind of close to us. We live in west covina and would live if one opened up near us. We would be regulars lol. Dangerous but true. We make the drive out to this one when we can but would love to have one closer to us. No other sandwich chain does sandwiches like Firehouse. Wife isn't a fan of sandwiches like me but she loves firehouse.

The staff was great and very helpful with our sandwiches that we ordered. The sandwiches were delicious

This was my first time here in the Gallup to register must have been new she didn't mention anything to me about scanning my code on the app or ask me for my phone number luckily I was able to go to the app and enter information from my receipt and take a picture of it to get my points I asked for an extra pickle on both of my sandwiches One was a medium and one was a large and I only got extra pickle on one of them little discouraging for the first visit!

Arrived before 9 pm—the posted closing time. The blue and red neon “OPEN”sign was on.
When I went inside I was greeted with: “We’re closed. We took our last order. ”
Why don’t you turn off the sign and change the hours on the window and online?
(We checked both.)
So, we went to The Habit Grill next door.

Worst sandwich shop experience ever! The 3 kids behind the counter were slow moving and unprofessional. We didn’t get the pickle with our sandwich. We waited a full ten minutes before getting our food, and there was no line. The large sandwich was cut incorrectly; it was cut only once about a third of the way in randomly. Additionally, there was a long blond hair in it from one of the crew members. We will not be back.

Another location to enjoy. Trying to get to all of them. Great sandwiches I can definitely recommend to anyone.

Closed before posted hours with no notice. Being pregnant I had a craving for one of their sandwiches. However when we got there almost 30 minutes before closing the worker locked the doors and turned off all the lights before we could walk up to the door. There was no sign saying they were closing early or any notice. Very disappointing!

Firehouse Subs make the best subs! BUT the last couple of orders I’ve picked up have not been great. I’ve been getting the wrong orders. Yesterday I paid $2.50 for avocado and didn’t get it. Ranch dressing was missing in my other sandwich. I think it’s due to training new employees because I usually go here once a week and lately I’ve seen new people working. I miss the great taste but since they are pricey and they have not been tasting the same the last 4 times I’ve been there I’m afraid I will have to stop going for a while. I usually order the Hook & Ladder for my self and the Sweet & Spicy meatloaf for my son.

The 4 kids behind the counter were unproffessional and unnattentive. They handed me a greasy gross bag with meat and cheese hanging from it and when I asked for a new bag, the little blonde with very short hair acted annoyed and said if she gave me another one it would be the same way anyways so she wouldn't give me a new one. I didn't really want it in my car because of how much grease and food was all over it. I took the nasty bag to my car and thought I should look at the food before I get it home, I checked my sandwich and it was made wrong, when I took it back inside the employees acted like it was no big deal but they gave me my money back but did not offer to remake it or apologize in any way. We live 7 minutes from there and by the time we got our food home, the boxes were even greasier than the bag! We did not order anything that should have been this greasy. The food was not good, the service was not good, nothing positive about this experience. I was kind of embarrassed for the place honestly.

Went on a Friday night at around 7: 30pm and the place was an absolute mess even though I was the only customer there. I was immediately grossed out and considered leaving but didn't. I thought maybe they just had a mad rush or something. But, it also smelled very strongly liked burnt bread. I had planned to eat inside but took it to go after the mess and burnt smell. The employees acted miserable the entire time and were unfriendly. The lights were off as well as if they were trying to keep people out. I waited 25 minutes for them to make me three sandwiches. One employee was at least sweeping up the ground while I was waiting for food. But I was standing next to a table waiting for my food because it was too gross to sit down and the employee that was sweeping literally stood behind me for at least the last 10 minutes and waited until I left to sweep under me. It was such an odd and unpleasant experience.

We came in and the four workers ignored us and continued making subs for about five minutes until I asked who was ready to help us. The two guys up front were nice enough but the black girl had an attitude. She didn’t even respond when I asked who was ready to help us.

Restrooms have bee out of order for over a week, where do the workers go? Where do the workers wash their hands? Not a good image for the public. Can't sit inside.

Ordered their medium NY Steamer, supposedly with corned beef and pastrami, pickle on the side, loaded potato soup, chili with cheese and onion and chocolate chip cookie. I got what can only be called a sorry excuse of a pastrami sub, got two potato soups, both of which were nasty, no chili, no pickle, no mas. Jersey Mike's, Togos or ANY sandwich place or deli is better than this garbage. I highly DON'T recommend.

Most items out of stock, dirty tables. Staff didn't inform only bottle soda available before purchasing a fountain drink

Really liked their meatball sandwich. Great tasting and filling. The bread is soft and tasty. Meatballs and marinara sauce is good, topped with cheese and spices.
