I will forever be greatful to this animal hospital because when our dog was sick and all other hospitals turned us away the firestone animal hospital was there for us and because of that today we get to take our dog home happy and healthy.

Staff always tries to upsell you products at a much higher price than other places. They never honor your appointment time and even with an appointment, you can wait up until an hour. The staff that comes out to update you doesn't give you a complete or honest explination what the status of your pet. The doctor actually told my wife I was a liar when she told the doctor what the staff told me outside when the doctor never heard the conversation. I had an appointment for a simple bloodtest for my pet and it was there five (5) hours.

This is a really good vets. They have been looking after our dog for the last 10 years, since she was a puppy. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Summary:
-You cannot wait with your pet in the waiting room
-The vet will not even speak to you about your pet's diagnosis instead he sends his assistants
-The junior staff, the assistants, are rude and condescending
-The staff does not care to keep you updated on any statuses
-Wait times are ridiculous and appointment times are not honored.

Do not waste your time here.

The Situation:

The staff is unprofessional, rude, and lack communication skills. I brought my cat in out of desperate need to get him checked on a Friday at 6: 50 PM.

When I spoke to one of the staffers as to why I couldn't go in with my cat into the waiting room, he curtly responded with "we're not letting anyone in" and turned away. Later on, after waiting for an additional 2 hours outside of the office, now close to 9 PM, he comes to explain my cat's diagnosis; when I asked about why certain tests were being taken and if I could speak to the vet about the recommended care, I was denied the chance to speak to the vet. If I am spending over $1100K on my cat's treatment, I'd rather speak to the vet and not an assistant. I was dismissively told that the vet "couldn't talk".

This is unacceptable!

I just wanted my cat to be checked and took the diagnosis and paid for the medication. I was instructed to return the following Monday at 5: 15 PM to have my cat re-checked. I thought the re-check was complimentary since there was NO mention of an additional fee.

Come Monday, not only do they admit my cat an hour late, but we're told check-ups are taking longer because of "emergencies". Not a single staffer told us of these "emergencies" as we were waiting in the parking lot for over an hour. We proactively called to get an update, otherwise, we would have been in the dark. It is 8: 40 PM and we have been waiting since 5: 15 PM, and surprise, an additional fee for a re-check. The re-check amount wasn't an issue but the audacity to ask for a re-check fee when it was not mentioned on the previous Friday, and the ridiculous wait time is pitiful! My cat missed his scheduled dinner thanks to these delays!

Side note: the staffers will challenge your recollection of events, and argue with you that "you were told" about fees. We were not, and it is disgusting to be told later, "you didn't ask. "

Today, was a waste of time. A simple check took over three hours. This place is horrible!

Great vets. Very good at their jobs both vets and veteran nurse. Me and my mum are always given good advice about my dog.

Staff are really friendly and helpful, waiting times aren't too long, have 2 cats registered at the moment, and very happy with the care they receive.

The staffs and other vet doctors in Firestone Animal Hospital are quite friendly and genuine. I highly recommend this hospital. I bring my pet on a regular basis, as doctor’s advice.

All waiting is outside only. They take too long for everything. You fill out a paper which starts the process. Then after awhile, someone comes out and asks you questions that you already answered on that paper. I can't say for sure, but I would bet they charged me 3 times what my regular vet would have charged had he been able to take us. After $3000.00 I just hope my cat comes out brand new.

I had to bring my pup Pup Luna here due to a broken leg bone accident. I was so glad and grateful they took her in at last minute. After like 4 hrs waiting was advised she needed surgery and had to come back a few days later to do it since she was a bit anemic. I was quoted one price and then when I called to confirm appointment they gave me another one $1100 more. When I questioned them the huge difference they said manager had done a mistake and forgot to add the anesthesia. Very unethical. I also didn't like that they didn't give me the xrays even though you pay for them. I forgot what excuse they gave me when I questioned them, something about the film. I didn't make it a big deal since I was grateful they serviced her. I don't like being lied to and that's why I looked for a better price and honest service elsewhere. Thank ful for the service but won't go back unless it's needed.
