5On 9/6/23 I placed a claim with you that my AC was not working. Comfort Maker came the next morning (yea). They found that I had a bad circuit breaker. The electrician came on 9/8/23 and fixed that. Comfort Makers came back on 9/9/23 and advised that the blower motor had to be replaced. On 9/12/23 I spoke with the manager of Comfort Makers and he told me that he couldn’t find a replacement for the blower motor and that he recommended to you to replace the furnace. On 9/15/23 I received an email from First American asking that I allow 3 days for their review and provide an update. I then went on The internet to see if a replacement was “available” - it wasn’t! Since that time (20 days), I have been waiting to see if your purchasing department could find the blower motor. Yesterday I received a call and learned that they were unable to find the motor, but that they could get one made with delivery in 3-6 weeks. If I told them to order it, that would be a “minimum of 7 weeks” for my AC to get fixed. I have been a customer for over 25 years and never had such a “Run Around”! I am 85 years old and can not be without AC during the Houston area summers. Your rep offered me a $460 cash payment rather than ordering the part “THAT MIGHT BE HERE IN 3 WEEKS! I took the cash out! This company is by far the worse warranty we have ever encountered when it comes to not only customer service but caring for you customer they have none. Since July.we have been trying to get our A/c fixed.amine you I live in California and it 100+ degrees daily.they sent someone out.to fix a leak on our a/c.and they broke the whole a/c unit some how and when the people who came out ordered the parts to replace it they never showed up.so for the last 2 months we have been waiting for this company to find someone else to fix our a/c.they find these low budget contractors who come out, then don’t fix the problem.we have been waiting for contractors 3 weeks for them to turn in this so called “report” so we can get things rolling but they never do. We just keep getting, give us another 24 to 48 hours everyday. Now we are coming up on week 8 and still the same thing.they offered us $150 to help with a small portable unit, never got it, they offered $50 for a fan unit, never got it, this has been the worse experience and we are first time home buyers who thought it would be a good Idea to get a warranty. Worst mistake. We will see if they make it right but I doubt it looking at all the bad reviews. All I want is a working a/c and window ac unit.that’s it.that’s what I paid for the insurance for.and the kicker is they ask if you want a buy out so we can find our own contractor then they have the nerve to offer us a buy out of $2000. The a/c unit it’s self is more then $2000! How will that help us if we find our own contractor, the replacement of our a/c is a total of 13,000 and they off $2000, makes no since. Again we are still just hoping for a working A/c.maybe they are just waiting for the year to be up that we already paid and will cancel us. I don’t know be to be continued I hope writing this helps.
After I wrote this I went to send a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - I then discovered that this company has a D- rating. Run, don't walk, to another title company.
100% disregard for properly transmitting personal private information. They emailed my complete loan application including financial information and social security number through a plain unencrypted email. This was after the bank told them that was a very bad idea. The manager involved keeps insisting they followed their proper security protocols - that is the scary part that either he is ignorant or that really is how First American treats your information.
Always great service from this location. Customer service & farming department. April my rep is super sweet and her the job done, if ever you have any issues. I was in AZ and no one in AZ helped. My CA team was awesome!
