Fit 'N' Furry Pet Resort & Training Center reviews
13My dog had a smile on his face when I picked him up 8 hours after I dropped him off. He doesn't get to play with dogs so Fit N Furry is the ideal place. Lots of big dogs came in while I was there. I feel m dog is safe at the day care center. I'm trying to get my friend to bring her dog there
Trust is a big deal for me when it comes to my loved ones and most of all, my pup. What I enjoy most about FNF is when I receive daily updates and photos of my (senior) girl, Sundae.
My dogs had their first time playing with other dogs. They are siblings, and they are 9 months old! They seem to have had a great time playing with the other dogs. We will definitely take them back again!
My pup and I attended the puppy socialization class. It was well organized and the trainers were great at monitoring the pups and ensuring everyone had a safe and fun time. We absolutely had an amazing experience. My pup definitely gained some important skills in appropriate social skills. Well worth checking out.
I have boarded Bandit (my Yorkie) here 3 times in the past 18 months and there is no other kennel that he will ever go to. I live in Santa Rosa and this last trip, I was flying out of Santa Rosa airport. I researched kennels in the city of Santa Rosa; I actually visited two well-known kennels, and there is no way I would ever ever let my beloved Bandit go to either of them. Petaluma is in the opposite direction of the Santa Rosa airport but well worth the drive. I know when he’s there he is cared for and loved by the amazing staff. He will always go to Fit and Furry anytime we need him to be boarded. Thank you Fit and Furry for caring for my fur baby.
They did a *drop in* nail trim at the Fit n Furry spa for my super sensitive (drama queen) pup. His nails were way too long but they trimmed them and in just a few minutes all was super ok. Thanks so much. He was happy as could be afterwards and so was I that I didn't have to trim them. Great teamwork from the front desk folks to the experienced and kind groomer -Thanks again.
Not a huge fan of boarding my dog but I didn’t have a choice. I was pleased with all the extras you could pay for your dog but I wish you could tour the facility and rooms. I would’ve had such more peace of mind seeing where my dog was staying. My dog was here for a weekend and I got 1 photo. One thing I didn’t like is that my dog came home reeking of old lady perfume. Even with a bath it did not come off for a few days. Makes me wonder why they put so much on her. I didn’t pay the steep charge for a bath bedside she doesn’t like strangers doing it but I don’t think perfume is the way to mask whatever it is!
We boarded our Boxer with Fit n Furry for 2 weeks…. The pictures we received while she was there convinced us she was being well taken care of…when we picked her up, she was healthy, hadn’t lost any weight and was in such good spirits….
I’m not sure if this place is a 5 star or a 2 star. The people inside seemed great. But our dog bed was soaked in pee. (Thst could have been because our one dog was given more water than she’s used to; we left notes to limit it but someone perhaps missed it)
The other issue is that the intake person was overdoing the upsell. The dogs needed the gold activity level or life would end
Yet when I walked in, it seemed like play was incorporated into every stay.
I was also a little bummed that everyone conveniently overlooked out 1st time status. (There was a promotion on the site)
Another customer was in there and said, this place is great. Perhaps our experience was a fluke. But it did not crush.
I found out that they make it seem like they’ll take care of your pet and you think they will get good treatment. Your dog is most likely to get only 10 minutes of play and sleeping is most of the day.you have to have to take your own food for them. They also don’t appreciate pittys! So if you have one look elsewhere.
8/11/23 update: I am updating my review because I contacted Grant the owner and he followed up on my concerns. I really appreciated his follow up. We will be using fit and furry again. 8/9/23: Gave 3 stars because when I called to check in on my dog, it took them some time to figure out who my dog is and that they had her. When my friend picked my dog up they did not give her all of her belongings, and lastly she smelled like urine. Disapointed in the service this time. I have used them before and it has always been fine. Not sure what happened this time.
We had to leave our house on relatively short notice due to reconstruction after a water leak, and are so delighted that we found Fit 'N' Furry for our two older indoor/outdoor cats. The staff was welcoming and caring. One cat, Peko, went to Fit 'N 'Furry with a cut cheek that needed watching. The other, Charlie, developed a urinary tract infection while there, and the staff kept in phone contact with us regarding regarding the situation and our wishes, got him to a vet and medicated. We felt our cats were in good hands and being cared for. The peace of mind was wonderful. We won't hesitate to use them again.
