Fitness 19, Newark CA

Really like this gym. This is the first Gym I and my wife has joined after Covid.
Our personal trainer Jonathan Silva is really good. I enjoy working out with him. He is not only knowledgeable but treats every client personally. He is technically very sound and keeps a track of injuries, weak spots and works on them in a planned way.
Can’t recommend Fitness19 and Jonathan enough.

This is the best gym I've ever been to. The equipment is maintained very well. The staff here are awesome.
I have been training with Jonathan for more than 3 months. He is such an easygoing person and very knowledgeable in fitness and how the human body works.
Jonathan explains all activities in very details, and created a personalized program to effectively help me reach my goal. It's been a fun journey, and I'm very happy that I started personal training with Jonathan

I've been working with Jonathon Silva, a personal trainer at Fitness 19, for the past 6 months. The gym can be an intimidating place when you don't know what you're doing and I was completely clueless, but Jonathon guided me and helped me to really enjoy going to the gym. Now I have fun working out and even track my nutrition as this is also an important aspect with health and fitness. All my friends and family have noticed the physical change! I've reached many fitness milestones in this past half year working with Jonathon and I'm excited to see my progress as I continue.

At Fitness 19 Newark, staff is here to greet customer coming in, a beautiful smile and to welcome current members, and advertise to new potential members with new promotion of $9 per month.

We had noticed, staff here at Newark Fitness 19 constantly on his or her smart mobile. In fact instead of sitting at the Front Desk greeting the customers. Staff here had chosen to sit at the corner desk and kept looking and texting on his or her smart mobile.

Is Fitness 19 management pays them to be on a smart mobile?

The cleaning crew isn't cleaning daily due to Fitness 19 constrained. However staff whom is working here at least try to pick up some minor garbage at the equipment to help out WHILE cleaning crew isn't on daily schedules. Customers whom are using the equipment end up cleaning up the garbage (cups, wipe tissue).

At Costco management forbidden employees to use smart mobile WHILE ON DUTIES.

In result when-ever we asked for Fitness 19 staff at Newark, we never received the FULL ATTENTION because they are on their smart mobiles, CONSTANTLY DEEP LEVEL looking and watching their smart mobiles. In fact we tested the Front Desk by not scanning when we checked in. They didn't ever care. Why? They were at the desk corners texting back and forth on their smart mobiles.

The level of service here at Fitness 19 wasn't very professional. Anyone can walk in the Fitness 19 Newark, use the exercise equipment for free and staff wouldn't notice. WHY? They didn't care about the customers. They only care to be getting paid and to use their smart mobiles.

We are wondering: "How can Corporate operate this in-consider manners to customers?

How can Fitness 19 Newark allow employees working like in a Fantasy Island? Don't worry about customers, we already get their money $$$

Our constructive remarks to Fitness 19 Newark Management: "When employees are working, their jobs are to be at the Front Greeting and or Working With New Customers To Sign Up.

NO smart mobile is allowed while employees he or she on job duty. A break time employees can do what they want but not to sit around Front Desk and or Front Greeting Station.

Gym is kept very neat and tidy and the workers (especially sales workers) are very nice and welcoming. Big shoutout to Justin for giving me a tour and overall making me feel at home. He's also super friendly and cute:).

Gym is very clean and upkept and staff is very friendly and helpful. Zeke is always around in particular during the hours I go to help out or talk to and is a pretty cool dude

For the price, this gym knocks out every other conventional gym out there. The staff is amazing too! Shoutouts to Jake and Zeke! Both those guys aren’t just coaches, but they’re bros too and will take care you!

Great service! Gym looks super clean, all the dumbbells are in the correct spots, all the equipment is functional, and the community is really supportive. Shout out to my boy Justin for killin’ it with the service!

I stumbled upon this gym after visiting a few and I signed up immediately. I likes the ambiance and the lighting, as well as the vast choice of equipment. I signed up for a personal trainer and I’ve been working with Jonathan for a few months. He’s an excellent trainer who really explains technique and form. I’ve been a member of several gyms and this one meets all of my needs, without the frills that you pay an arm and a leg extra for at the other gyms…. Well, the hydro massage chairs are pretty neat.

Clean place! Met cool people there and the staff is nice! I remember zeke especially because he helped me out with the hack squat machine, pushed me to my limits! Will keep going here

Great gym and community here at Fitness19. The staff is amazing, Zeke and Jake give the utmost class in customer service when walking into, during or leaving the gym. The staff is what makes the gym so inviting right when you walk through those doors.

I highly recommend working with Jonathan S.if you are looking for someone to help you start (or re-start) your fitness journey. Been working with Jonathan for almost 6 months and he and the other staff have been fantastic. Jonathan will ensure your workout gets you to your goals. Additionally, he took the time to understand my past injuries and tailor the workout to help strengthen those areas and showed me how to avoid future injuries.

The equipment is very well kept, as if it was brand new, the staff is kind and helpful. Is a great place to workout.
