I have been working out at fitness sf for over a year now and been training with Emma S she is amazing! She makes me feel very comfortable with all exercises and is willing to explain all movements very clearly. She makes working out so much fun and has great energy, I would highly recommend her!
I’ve been a member of SF Fitness for 4 years, and their gyms are always clean and have a great selection of workout equipment. The Transbay and Embarcadero locations are by far my favorites to go to and get a good workout. I’ve been training with Emma Salaam, who helped me lose 30 pounds last year. She is an amazing trainer who listened to any concerns I had and helped me with back pain. Emma helped me so much with my fitness goals by giving me dietary suggestions and coming up with workout plans I could do when not seeing her. Emma is truly an amazing trainer, and I love working with her.
Carlos Guardado Palacios has been my personal training since September of 2023. Every session I have with him have been a good experience. When he teaches me exercise routines he shows you step by step to get the routine down. If you are doing a routine incorrectly he helps me with my form. I really like that he does that. He checks on you if you are feeling alright when doing workout drills. I love that he pushes me to do my best on every workout routine and to achieve my goals.
Overall the best gym at this price point in downtown SF. Facility is clean and well maintained. Equipment and machines are in good shape as well. The training staff is very knowledgeable and not pushy. I have a back injury and worked with Rehan A.who has a background in rehab and physical therapy. Super knowledgable.

This is one of the best gyms I have ever been. All the equipment is high quality and clean. My favorite part of the gym is my personal trainer: Emma - she has been a great coach, inspiring motivator and knowledgeable support as I go through my pre natal journey with tailored sessions for the pregnancy stage I’m on. Now, I tell all my friends that the best decision you can make, is get the support of someone like Emma during this highly challenging change for your body. Since I’m training with her, I’m feeling more energized and confident about my pregnancy. 110% recommended!
My favorite Fitness SF location because it’s new, large, and clean. Plus, I love working out here with my personal trainer Carlos. He always creates the right workout schedule for me and knows how to push me to my limits without injuring my body, so I’ve already seen great results with him!
Love Fitness SF Transbay! State of the art facility, and the staff (everyone from trainers to cleaning crew) are second to none. I’ve been training with Jaylen Reliford for close to three years now and can’t imagine training with anyone else. Membership dues are super reasonable. Definitely the most bang for your buck in the Bay Area.
The facilities are large and clean. The staff are always really nice and helpful. I work with Jaylen as my personal trainer and have been really enjoying it. He's always really positive and I appreciate that he meets me where I'm at. He does a good job tailoring workouts to my needs and I've seen some great results in the few months I've been working with him and I look forward to continuing to work out with him!
Great facility with very kind staff! I appreciate how clean everything is kept. The mornings and evenings are fairly busy, but people are nice and willing to share machines/weights!
For anyone looking into personal training, Emma S is an amazing trainer! She’s very knowledgeable and kind. I started working with her after recovering from an injury. She knew how carefully to navigate my physical weakness and help me gain strength in a safe and sustainable way. I’m truly enjoying working with her and I’ve learned so much over the last few months!
Came in from out of town. $30 day pass $90 week pass.
Front desk was great. Bathroom and locker room is phenomenal. Literally came back because of the toilet seat warmer and bidet.
All equipment is in top shape and a ton of it. Olympic side has a million Squat racks and weights. Would rate higher if I could!

One day pass is $30, but the space and equipment are great. It is a clean environment and has good natural lighting.
Good equipment - gets crowded at times - management is arrogant - be careful with billing.
Great facility with a lot of equipment. Even during the most high traffic times, I was able to find equipment to use.
My favorite Fitness SF location. Spacious and well equipped. The Recovery room with the massage chairs motivates me to come in and work out when I'm feeling lazy. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Just wish they'd switch up the music a bit.
