Five Star Garage Door Service, San Jose CA

I have been using Five Star service for a few years. They are very reliable, quick, and reasonably priced. I fully recommend them if you need garage door service!

Tri and his coworker worked efficiently and made it clean for our garage door replacement except the window pattern was a bit different from what we expected based on estimate- 4.5 stars!

Yesterday, my garage door was not opening properly as the spring had broken. I called this company and they responded immediately, and had a technician arrive less than an hour later. Manny (the technician) promptly fixed the garage door and now it works great. Amazing service and expertise.

Santos showed up promptly at the start of the hour given. He fixed the problem and explained why it happened.

The keypad stopped working. I called FSG, and the technician came over in the same day and replaced the keypad for free.thanks for being responsive.

Great service and work. The techs that installed the door were friendly, quick and followed the COVID safety protocols. I will gladly recommend this company to anyone I know who is thinking of a new garage door or service.

About 1 hour after I called for the service, my garage door springs replacement was completed. It is amazing fast. In addition, the fee is pretty good and the technician refused the tip.

I Tried to resolve things with garage door installer. He reassured that this is how it is suppose to be. Here are some of my concerns the photo of the garage door spring. If you look closely you can see how the bottom is lifting up. Isn’t that dangerous? I have small children who play in my garage with there toys and I’m very concerned about that. The other photos are photos of the old pieces of my old door rails where left in with the new pieces. Now they said they have to replace everything. I paid 2000$ for a brand new garage door and opener and rails everything you need to install a garage door. And I’m very disappointed that they used older pieces with new ones. I asked him about tacking up the extension cord to the ceiling down the wall but he said he couldn’t so we had to do that ourselves. The installer accidentally cut my neighbors cable cord which caused a high argument with our neighbors. I called him out here just so he can say this is how it’s supposed to be. I’m very disappointed and concerned about the whole thing I have a 4 year old and six year old that come in the garage to play with there toys are they safe? What happens if the bolt pops out? Can some give me some advice on what I need to do?

I was pretty pleased with the overall experience with them. Communication was clear, they accomodated the motor I requested at no additional charge, and they were also able to offer me a military discount (which is not super common in the bay area). They were able to complete the job in a very timely fashion. Price was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

I seldomly ever write review except only when I receive exceptional service, quality and price. Five Star Garage door gave me all that. Just a small disclaimer, I am not way, associated or have any connection with this Five Star Garage Door. When the two guys (Santos and Xan or San?) came to my home, they were very professional in installing and cleaning up after themselves. I watched every installation step they did to learn and understand the way they did stuffs the proper way. I learned a lot from them.
In essence in this deal I’ve got honesty from Khoi who is the owner of the Five Star Garage Door, exceptional service, quality and price with the addition of priceless learning experience which will stay with me for a very long time to keep garage doors, springs and rollers in good conditions.
I would recommend this company to friend, family and anybody I know without hesitation. Using yelp to request for price estimate, I had 5 other quotes, and none come even close to what Khoi had given me.
