Fix N Smog, Orange CA

He charge me more than $1000 and can not fix my car. Was guessing this is the problem and was not. He couldn't fix my car. And send me to another one. But I spend to much money for nothing. I take it to a certified mechanic. And he found the problem and fixed in 4 hours. I don't recommend Alex. Maybe for brakes and oil change. But not for car repairs.

Original service date was 9/30/22. Engine lube, transmission drain and fill, 4x new tires installation and tpms check due to check tire pressure light.
They said right back tpms is not working and they can replace and reprogram, but they do not have in stock. I prepaid $75 for replacing and reprogramming the sensor. The guy told me he should have it by tuesday. I went there thursday and he told me that i have to drop the car and come back. I said that i can not do that and asked when to come again. He said anytime. So i went back again in a couple of days one hour before closing time. The guy said it is too late. Again i went in a couple of days and the guy said the person who has to do it is in vacation. Finally today 10/14/2022 i went back and they took the car. Parked it across from the tire bays and took a tire down from the opposite side of the car without checking with a tool which sensor does not connect. When ready light was still on and they said go drive a little and if does not go away come back and we will reprogramming the tpms with the tool. I drove about 15 miles and light was still on. Went back to the service and they made me park in front of a tire bay. A guy came with a tool and started to try to connect the sensors. Several spins around the car and he comes back and says your right back sensor is not connecting. The guy from the office comes out and he says we replaced one sensor but now you have another bad one. Now. There is no indication on the receipt which sensor they originally told me is bad. I am almost 100% sure they originally told me passenger back. When returned they never rechecked with a tool which one is not connected before replacing. Sent me away to drive like a maniac without properly recalibrating the tpms sensors with a tool and at the end nothing. Cost me $75,4 times leaving work to go back, all the frustrations plus the expensive fuel to drive bcak and fothr.

They claim there machine is down to do smog checks on 97 year cars well when are they gonna have it fixed

I grew up with a father who did all his own auto care. Forced us to learn but I hated it. But at least I know when a mechanic is being honest or trying to up charge you. Alex is always fair and honest. That’s so important. A mechanic you can trust.

Wow they were really fast, I was shocked they were so fast and nice, they got my business. If I ever need anything else done to my car I'm taking it to them

Scam city. 100% get a 2nd opinion. They told me my obm needed replacement, but for some reason they wanted 100$ an hour to figure out what was wrong with my car. No thanks. I'll go somewhere else. 2nd opinion. And replace the meter.

They can look (but did not) and ask basic questions BEFORE the test. Came back with a failed test because a sticker was not showing for a cold air intake. TO bad that'll be $ 60 DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. They should have been honest up front. POOR customer service and RUDE
