Flamin' Phó & Sushi Bar, San Diego CA

Coming from out of state to visit San Diego, my experience dinning in at Flamin Pho for the first time with my family was great! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated by the owner. All the staff were so hospitable and helped us figure out what we’d enjoy best on their menu. Me and my family tried the surf and turf roll, egg rolls, and house special pho with vegetables/ all of which were served fresh, hot, and tasted amazing. Not to mention plated beautifully. Knowing we were visiting, the owner also even went out of his way to write down a couple of cool spots for us to hit up while we were in the area. If in the area I definitely recommend coming here for some Asian fusion!

PHO: Small plates are priced on menu, not regular or large. Regular size: $18.00 (definitely not an $18 dollar pho) Little deceptive on pricing based on their prior online menu. We visited based on the menu posted and everything was 30-40% more than a year ago?

Overall good experience, servers were experienced and super well timed with appetizer to entree transition. Vibe was super chill and pho and flaminpenos were super good. Anyways besides being right by the freeway the ambiance brings you into a complete dinner setting. Menus well rounded so there's something for everyone.

We stopped here after a long travel from the east coast. The ladies were extremely attentive and sweet. The food was phenomenal. We will definitely stop here again when we are back in town. Thank you!

Great food, at least everything we tried was beyond expectations.

If pressed our minor nitpicks would be slightly overeager service, thick cut over spicy chili with the pho lacking the delicacy of the genuine deal, veg pho we ordered with beef stock came with veg stock regardless, and too much needless single use plastic.

The food was okay. Not my favorite pho. Ordered a cocktail but it was just okay. Didn’t taste great. The location is not bad, the servers are nice but the food was average. It was also a little pricey. Spent almost $60 on just myself and all I ordered was a drink, pho, an appetizer. Maybe that’s just the standard price here but not worth the price in my opinion

The fried rice was very dry and not flavorful. The veggies were bland and not worth it. The gyoza was old.even for the delivery. I will not be reordering food from here again

They love adding jalapeños to Japanese foods like sushi and tempura and the results are delightful

The food is really good, everything cooked to order, as ordered (the restaurant allows for substitutions and modifications). The only thing that can be better is the service. I walked in and asked for the restroom, to wash my hands and prepare to it, and I was automatically and very rudely told that the restroom was for customers only which was very off putting BUT exclusive of the poor customer service, food was great, the place was clean and well kept. Some of the furniture was cheap but I see the effort. Not sure if I’d return for dine in.

Lunch with my son.food was very good, service was prompt and courteous. Price might have been a little high, but we both had a beer and I had a bowl, and we shared 3 sushi rolls. I enjoyed it and will be back again soon.

I have no idea how this place has the positive ratings that it does. If I could give it a 0 in how bad the food was I would which says a lot b/c I usually don't complain. Out of 3 full rolls we ate 4 pieces total - egg roll which was suppose to be spring roll tasted like fish. Stay away - DISGUSTING. & I was starving
