The salsiccia pizza was a tad overpowering I'm terms of flavors but everything else was perfect, and service was excellent as always

The food is absolutely delicious. The staff is engaging and informative. The restaurant is small and plays music just a little to loud it can be hard to hear your server. I highly recommend the pasta tasting menu, you are going to want to taste it all.
I apologize for not taking pictures, we were so hungry and ate the minute are dishes arrived. We ordered the Halibut Crudo, veal and Grilles Trout. I asked the other diners next to me how their dishes were they ordered the pasta tasting menu. They also raved at how everything was soooooo good!

One of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. The morel pasta dish, black truffle appetizer and strawberries & cream dessert were legendary.

Food was amazing however a couple of the items just seemed a little off. Some of the pasta was not cooked well and left a more cheerier than expected experience.

Service was impeccable and wait staff were extremely attentive. We did receive a glass and a couple plates that were not clean.

Love the restaurant and if you like to eat with really loud music playing this is your place.

It’d been a while since I’ve last visited Flour + Water and while this did not disappoint, there were for sure a couple aspects that could use some improvement (but do not let any of this discourage you from going).

Really mid food for what you are paying for the wait is definitely not worth it and their Duck pasta was not even "mid" it was actually gross

The service was awesome. It was our first time there, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The food is presented artfully and beautifully and very modern, aka charming, petite anyway a must try you won't disappointed

Such a cute bakery and sandwich shop! From its outside appearance to its interior decor, Flour + Water delivered on its pastries/desserts, its staff and its merchandise. If ever in Woodstock, you NEED to visit this place.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. We did the tasting menu and every course was better than the last. The staff took amazing care of us, and the wine pairings were just perfect.

An experience that started off pretty disappointing (mostly for the service), but concluded with some or the best food in memory. From our booking time to being seated with a glass of water was around 30minutes. We were welcomed to wait inside by the “wine bar’… of sorts, but this area is far too small for the amount of diners that were waiting and despite being handed a wine menu no one came to take orders the whole time we were standing there. The long wait gives you a pretty long time to decide what to order once you’re seated and despite being ready to do so we were basically told not yet, you should take a few more minutes to figure it out. At this point I could not fathom paying over $100 for the tasting menu.
Starters were good, big portion sizes, most memorable just for the quality of the ricotta and honeycomb - both stunning. Mains featured perhaps the two best pastas I’ve ever had, along with a very enjoyable orange wine. Service at this point had significantly improved and the evening was finished off by a delectable dessert. Like the rest of the menu clever in flavour pairings and presentation. Appropriately portioned and rich enough to savour each bite. Would return, definitely recommend but I’d really hope for much better service.

We came here after trying to get into Tony's Pizza across the road but the wait time was too long. After tasting the first bite of pizza, we were not disappointed. This is by far the best pizza we've had in San Francisco. Absolutely delicious!

We ate their wild foraged tasting menu and wine pairing. Michelin star worthy food and service. They are absolutely incredible!

Tasting menu was incredible, I had high expectations and they were met. It's crazy this place doesn't have a Michelin star, but I'm glad because I can still get in: -)

Probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. I don’t remember what was the exact dish but I’ll definitely return to have it again (pasta with turmeric, pesto and other things as well). Highly recommended!

Could not ask for a better meal! We started with the veal cruda and halibut crudo and still can’t decide which one I liked better. We then dove in to three different pastas with the papredele and veal being our favorite. To finish things off, we had the duck entrée. Overall good experience although the service was very slow and inattentive. We ordered wine prior to ordering our meal and it didn’t come until after the first two courses and they didn’t ask if we wanted another glass of wine and were slow to bring us more water.

Flour+Water is one of the top restaurants in San Francisco. As long as your looking for pasta it would be impossible to leave here unsatisfied.

The best way to experience F+W is with the tasting menu. It changes seasonally and is always inventive, beautiful and scrumptious. The wine paring is equally creative and the perfect accompaniment. The two together run about $200 a person.

If you can’t swing the tasting menu don’t miss the Agnolotti. It’s always fantastic.

Why they don’t have a Michelin star is beyond me. There a several stared restaurants in the bay that are less worthy.

Came here on the recommendation of my wife's colleagues. They claim this place ruined pasta everywhere for them. I can't say we shared that sentiment. The service and atmosphere was great, no doubt. However, we felt the menu was a bit too experimental and perhaps strayed a bit from what got them on the map. We had the salad, and three pasta. Two of the three pastas were their signature dish.

The salad was salty and arguably bland at the same time. One dimensional is probably the appropriate description here. The pastas were all very untraditional Italian approaches. It's either too sour or too sweet. None were as fragrant as one might expect. For example: We had an interpretation of the squid ink pasta. The key note was squid ink infused bread crumbs that supposedly to bring out the essence of the sea. Yeah, I didn't taste any of that.the whole dish was too sour and it overpowered whatever essence we were supposed to taste. Perhaps all of this is by design and purposely created to push the pasta envelope. It just wasn't my expectation coming to this establishment for a surprise bday dinner. Or perhaps our pallets are not super refined to differentiate the subtle layers of flavor. All in we spent $130 on four dishes, no drinks.

Next level farm-to-table handcrafted Italian fare. If dining solo or as a couple do yourself a favor and sit at the bar and let the bartender feed you. Trust the process and order to excess. Share everything. Have the dessert. It's simply the best.
