Flying J Travel Center reviews
15I don't know what happened with this place, but ever since the rebuild it's gone right downhill. Seems like there's not enough staff, the showers are closed first thing in the morning I've never seen that before but I've seen it twice here, either didn't want to or didn't know how to show the drink discount on the point of purchase machine. But it's expecting me to pay the price was 808 instead of 6 in change and at that point of purchase doesn't say it I'm not about to pay for it. This is the last time I'm going to this pilot flying j I'm just about done with pilots in general.
This place disappoints every time, too bad I have to stop here sometimes. This flying j in particular is really dirty, undermanned and they never have soups.
A lot of parking, but so many reserved spots that didn’t even get filled up! Saw a dude taking a leak right by the scales, he didn’t even at least try to hide behind his truck or anything. Bathrooms were decent, but either out of soap or then dispenser was broken. The food was food (Miss the old restaurant and buffet they used to have here), and the drinks was drinks.
Took a shower in the AM, and although cleaned well, the water was a major issue. It took forever to get the water to heat up, then it would constantly switch between cold and scalding hot until halfway through my shower it gave up completely and went ice cold. Well, at least I managed to get my hair washed beforehand?
I have been to this flying j four times and three times out of the four there has been a male employee in the women's bathroom when I went into the bathroom. I told management about it and they just blew me off and didn't do anything about it. 2 times the male was using the only stall that had toilet paper.
190 parking spots and only one tiny bathroom that was so overrun that there was a line out the door. Hardcore stupidity.
Going back home to Northern CA from L. A.after Thanksgiving. We made several stops to look for a restroom but everywhere we went restrooms were closed "out of order". Everywhere! We stopped at this flying J and the line obviously was long. The manager decided to open up the showers with restrooms to accommodate his customers. We were all so very grateful after Being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for hours.
I have traveled all over the country and have been to many Flying J Pilots. This location, hands down, is the worst location anywhere. They are always out of everything and are never stocked. Something as simple as coder and donuts. They need new management.
This is definitely good place to stop before or after hectic grades and LA area. Travel center renovated recently, clean & tidy. Large parking space and easy in / out.
I have stopped her 3 times in last 45 days, every single time the showers are closed for "maintenance" when asked how long it will take 6 to 8 hours. I am sorry if this was a actually thing we would see it in other Flying Js as well, this is him being to lazy to deal with cleaning. If the maintenance is actually real and you have to do it that often then schedule the showers so you have at least a couple us truck drivers rely on you to feel fresh and rejuvenated. I am sure when your loved ones are on the road with us you want us at our prime.
Location is good but employees are junk, there shivers are closed constantly. And they sell showers under the table.
Best place to do a pit stop when traveling. They have everything you need in a good and comfortable place. Only thing that is missing is a EV charging
All the time is a long very long waiting time for a shower! Just one guy cleaning the empty showers and this is ridiculous! Take 3 hrs of my sleep time for a shower
This is a really nice truck stop. Not very busy and lots of parking spaces. We were extremely disappointed to see signs on the door that said showers were closed. The man at the counter had a little attitude as well when we asked about them.
We were coming back from Bakersfield and needed a break. Pulled in here, wow, loved it. Place was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Even the bathrooms were clean. Walked around, tons of trucks, everyone was super cool and nice. The store was well stocked, had most anything you might need.
