Folsom Lake SRA, Granite Bay Activity Center reviews
6We love this lake. It's so full of life and enjoyment. The sheriff's on the water are on top of everything. Some of us were joking around tipping each other out of the kayaks and the lifeguard on a jetski noticed. Made sure all was well and kept on moving. Best part is the water level is higher this year. Lots of people yay. Truly a family favorite.
Water was great on a hot day and the sandy beaches were perfect for relaxing in the sun. Plenty of trees and areas to picnic.
A great area to go for a mountain bike ride. A large network of trails. They are heavily trafficked by hikers, cyclists and horses. Trails have large rigs from being ridden so much. It’s a good place, but if you’re looking for a little solitude on your ride, this may not be it. If you’re ok with some trail traffic, it’s awesome!
Not a fan of Folsom lake and all of the rattlesnakes.
Go up more north towards sly park and you'll find much cleaner beaches, clearer water and pretty mountains.
Shredded the granite mountains with my 2018 JLU Rubicon, and my boys 1st gen 5.9. Park rangers held the beer.
Decent place. Just wish all the debris along the shore was cleaned up to make it safer for little ones.
Rangers that I have spoken to are down to earth which is a bonus.
I am still looking for a good family location to fish & swim.
