Food To Go reviews
6No fuss and no frills dimsum, chinese BBQ and food to go joint in Rowland Heights that will satisfy your quick dimsum cravings. They also have hot prepared foods to go, and they give generous portions.
This is one of the most solid places to get dim sum on the go but if you arrive anytime after 3 PM on a weekday there is a high probability that there could be something that you’re looking for that is sold out already. The video on this is based on coming here on a Wednesday at 9: 30 AM. As you could see it is not busy at all and the hot food is not even out yet due to it being so early. If you arrive too late and ask for something that’s not available there is a potential that some of the clerks will speak to you and it might seem like they’re yelling at you that there is “No More” so if you are not used to clerks yelling at you welcome to traditional Chinese dim sum establishment.
This place will get a much lower rating if it was based on service but the quality of the food in my opinion is very solid and tasty. So get here early and avoid the madness, especially on the weekends. Prices are even higher on weekends so it is highly recommended to do your shopping on a weekday if possible and really early on the weekend if you want to not deal with lots of people.
Normal business, don't sell things, there should be a lot of things that can't be sold, so there is only one kind of things to sell, and other foods, even if you buy them, will tell you if you don't.
Food is ok authentic. However price is going up too much but quality does not keep up. And they can be really impatient with customers. It's no longer worth it with their pricing.
Food is great! Lots and lots of dim sum options. Lunch dishes (chow fun, stir fried vegetables, etc.) are ready around noon. Combo plate is under $7!
Place gets very busy and line can stretch to the street. Line can move pretty fast if there's no new people in line. Dim sum is everywhere and is not labeled so you kinda have to know what you want otherwise here is where the bad service might come in. The ladies that work there are friendly but aren't always patient with someone asking a ton of questions and holding the line up (believe me, I've done it.) So don't expect the royal customer service treatment here. They're just trying to keep the line moving. Dim sum is sold by the order, not by piece. Ranges from 2-4 pieces per order depending on the size. Again, no signage so you'll be doing lots of pointing at what you want unless you know the name. Worth the long line for lunch but if you just want dim sum, go when they open at 7am! No line and dim sum is great for breakfast
