I would highly recommend For the Love of Dog. The owner Tiffany is very meticulous in her approach to training every dog. She goes far and beyond to make her clients feel comfortable in the training process.

In March 2023 I was scrolling Facebook looking for a particular event and saw “Pack Walk with a Purpose” on Saturday mornings. I read through the rules for the walk and liked them since Archie is an insecure dog. Let’s give it a try and on March 25th we started Saturday walks and haven’t looked back! Tiffany, Dwayne and Dillyn too have created a community that is a safe space to ask questions and ways too work through the hard. We’ve been to both of the Canine Communication Clinics which were amazing and will be attending the Spring and the Down on the Farm clinics. When they created the K9 Guardians Membership Group I signed up immediately and boy that has been the best membership I have ever signed up for! In this group we share our highs and our lows, make each other laugh and support each other. In the past 9 months we’ve learned new leash skills, changed our equipment for the better, our anxiety being out in public together has gone down tremendously, we can walk anywhere in the pack walks (we were always at the end) and so much more! So grateful to For The Love of Dog!

If you are not taking advantage of the Canine guardian membership, you are truly missing out. I’m leaving this review first as a dog mom, second as a new trainer. Tiffany and I have been friends for many years but working with her as my dog trainer was a whole different ballgame. I was so nervous, we’ve talked dogs for years, but it’s never been in the capacity that I needed help. She recognized right away and put me at ease, she does this with everyone whether she’s known you for 20 years or 10 minutes. What she has built with this canine guardianship group has been amazing to witness, and be a part of. I live in Idaho and being in this group and being able to participate in office hours, and join the packwalks and the workshops when I am in town has given me more confidence and a sense of security. A safe space with a group of people that I’ve come to know and love. Not to mention all of the information that is freely given on a daily basis. Going to office hours is like sitting down with a group of friends and having coffee and talking about our wins and our tough days and it’s amazing. Having a safe space with no judgment to ask questions and get feedback has helped me so much on my journey and becoming a dog trainer myself. Not only has Tiffany played a part in my training as a dog mom but also as a mentor and business coach for my business. As a new trainer, sometimes it can be hard to reach out and ask questions or ask opinions on business related topics or even client topics like how would you help in this situation. I have been a member in a few different different groups that are honestly a lot more expensive, and what I get from this membership has far surpassed any I’ve been apart of. THANK YOU Tiffany, for everything you continue to do on a daily basis to make our lives with our dogs the BEST they can be. Dede & all her pack of dogs!

As a fellow trainer Tiffany is my go to when I need advice or a different perspective with a dog. With her experience in the sport dog world, and pet dog world she brings skills, and experience that most do not have.

I sent my 11-month-old mini Aussie mix for a month-long board & train with Tiffany. The obedience my dog gained, and my knowledge for how to handle her now are invaluable. I don't know that I can attribute it to Tiffany, but I had my dog spayed and didn't have to cone her! I'm sure people wouldn't recommend this, but she didn't offer to mess with her incision and anytime she barely began to sniff at it, I said, "leave it" and she did.
My dog is such a good walker now, and I am a firm believer in the snoot loop. The other day I didn't have a cot in the room and my dog anxiously wandered around until I brought it in from the other room. She relaxes on place and has been able to accompany me to the office a few times now!
I firmly believe the cost of training is worth it. If I ever get another dog, they will definitely be traveling up to NorCal. And I may consider a refresher or boarding for my current dog in the future. Thank you Tiffany (and Dwayne!)
P. S. Remi still looks for you when she hears me watching IG stories

My husband and I have a cane corso who we absolutely adore but as she grew we were unable to manage her because of her size and strength. I stopped walking her because she would drag me and it wasn’t a good experience at all. Our dog absolutely loves people which is great but she would bolt and try to get to anyone she saw as well as any dog! It got to the point where we felt desperate for help so we reached out to Tiffany.
When we got starmie back from Tiffany after the 4 weeks she had her it was absolutely mind blowing. The dog I dropped off was not the dog I picked up, In the best way!
I was able to walk her confidently, she actually listened and followed directions! One of the things I valued so much about the program was not only was our dog trained but we as the owners were too. There were so many moments I felt overwhelmed and defeated due to her size but Tiffany really helped me to see that through direction, guidance and communication starmie and I could have the relationship I wanted.
The training truly changed our lives with our dog and it was definitely one of the best decisions we’ve made for starmie and for us.
There is a level of calm that Tiffany helped bring back in to our home again and we as a family are forever grateful! We really wouldn’t have been able to do any of this with out her.
The dog I couldn’t even walk before the program I can now take with me to go get a tea, go out to lunch and walk anywhere all with so much confidence!
It Still feels a bit unreal. Thank you so much to Tiffany, her hard work and all of her dedication to our dog and to us as her clients we are forever grateful.

We cannot thank Tiffany enough for her INVALUABLE support and guidance in helping us and our reactive K9 achieve a calmer state of mind in our day-to-day. August 2023 we brought our 2-year-old Belgian Malinois rescue, Panko into Tiffany’s four-week board and train retreat and we are so thankful for the foundation she’s built for him. From solid place work, down stays, fluency and improved leash communication, ability to stay neutral and live with a sphynx cat in the house, and most importantly, the ability to settle and be fulfilled in non-adrenalized environments.

Tiffany transformed the way we think, live, and advocate for our over adrenalized always excited Panko. We no longer live in a grey space of constantly doubting and questioning what we are doing or what’s good for him. Instead, she’s given us the tools and resources to give Panko the clarity, structure, and guidance he needs. We have to be the transfer of calm energy that we want to see in him. This includes de-ritualizing many dog interactions that society deems as beneficial but instead, is harmful for our dogs.

We are three weeks into Panko’s return home from Oroville and everyday, Tiffany continues to empower us and picks us back up when we've had a bad day/walk/encounter. Although Panko’s return home has not been easy for us, Tiffany has gone above and beyond to help us navigate and cope with working through the hard - his reactivity with dogs in the neighborhood and hyper-fixation.

As much as our dog needed a makeover, we the owner and handler needed it more so! Thank you Tiffany for building up our courage when we are in defeat; for understanding our fragile state of mind when we feel like failures; for helping us conquer our fears and embarrassment in times of distress; for empathizing in our struggles and knowing we are not alone.

Tiffany is phenomenal and we are forever grateful for her and how she has changed our lives and Panko’s. She has been and is our number one support system!

Sending our standard poodle Bonnie to Tiffany was hands-down the best decision my family has ever made for our dog! Bonnie needed a manners makeover—she would get riled up around other animals and houseguests, was impossible to walk, snuck food off the table when nobody was looking, tore up toilet paper, and had become a bit of a nuisance. By instilling some structure and routine during her board and train program (and teaching us several skills through videos and calls) Tiffany unlocked Bonnie’s full potential and vastly improved our relationship with her. Bonnie has been such a joy since coming home and we’ve all been reaping the rewards. I highly recommend Tiffany to anyone who wants to improve their relationship with their dog. We will definitely be coming back if we ever add another dog to our family. She’s amazing!

It’s hard to put into words how much Tiffany has helped Tucker and I. For the first time in a very long time I feel hope. When I first came to Tiffany I felt hopeless and isolated. Since Tucker was young he was a very nervous and anxious pup, however I was truly unaware of just how much this affected his state of mind. As Tucker got older he started to display behaviors that most people would have termed “aggressive”. He became wary of anyone coming into the house or near me and eventually ended up biting multiple people. I felt like I could no longer have people at the house, with the exception of the few people in his pack he trusted, nor could I take him most places with fear of what might happen. I knew we both needed training if we were going to have any hope for our future, but I didn’t want just anyone. I looked for over a year to find the right trainer and Tiffany was the first person to really hear our story. She responded within hours and we met on Zoom the next day when she explained to me her background in state of mind work and understanding what's actually beneath behavioral issues. Even though Tucker and I lived in Hawaii, I knew Tiffany was right for us and worth flying over for. After virtual training sessions and a five-week board and train program, I've seen huge strides in Tucker's behavior and state of mind. He's so much more calm in his crate, on his cot, outside, and makes walks enjoyable! He hasn't lunged at bikes or fast-moving people and he looks to me for direction. Tiffany has helped me to understand his reactivity is a symptom of fear and anxiety, and she taught me how to read his signs of stress, how to advocate for him and his space and when to say no to people. She helped me and Tucker feel comfortable with his muzzle as safety and comfort for both of us. The MANY daily updates I got from Tiffany while Tucker was with her gave me reassurance and the confidence that I can work through issues that arise with the tools and coaching she's given me. I’m finally able to communicate with Tucker using management, leash and e-collar work and it feels amazing that I can do this! Tiffany also has a heart of gold and the resources she gives to her clients and community are unparalleled. I feel supported and hopeful for our future together with my sweet and salty Tuck boy. Thank you Tiffany!

5 stars does not give justice to the dedicated work, guidance and love that Tiffany has provided for our family. While she helped tremendously with Jack's "state of mind", I am certain that she actually helped Jack's people (us) more!

Tiffany was consistent in her approach and communication, providing structure for Jack to thrive and learn new skills all a while, walking us through his journey. Daily updates gave us insight into the dog we knew Jack could be. Her responses to all of our questions also allowed us to learn side by side with Jack.

We are now several days back home with the improved Jack, of whom listens to commands, is not getting into things, walking beautifully on leash (no more pulling the kids around), playing fetch and practicing his "calm" effortlessly. Did I mention that he remains on place while guests are over, almost indifferent to their presence? These things are only our reality because of For the Love of Dog, NorCal. We are forever grateful for Tiffany's teaching and helping Jack be his best version and giving us the tools to be our best for him. Also, honorable mention goes to her family, who worked behind the scenes in caring for Jack!

Our dog completed a board and train and we were completely astounded. We followed Tiffany for a few months on social media before a consultation to watch and get a sense we’d align. She did a great job with our pup AND us. We went in prepared to change as people in addition to the change for our dog and Tiffany guided all of us. I loved the updates along the way and our dog will be going back this summer for a stay and play while we are on vacation. Can’t recommend enough especially when you need a trainer that understand reactive or easily triggered dogs.

EDIT: Adding more to my review now that Dolores has returned from her time with Tiffany. We were so fortunate to have completed a board and train with Tiffany so we could take advantage of additional offerings. Other boarding was instigating some of our pup’s old behaviors. We didn’t want to back pedal or give our dog a bad name since her breed often gets a bad rap. During her week stay we received updates and Dolores returned as a happy doggo with a little tune up. I say over and over again going with FTLOD was one of the best decisions we made as a family.

For the Love of Dog has been a game changer for me and my dogs. I am so happy I sent Rocko and Jojo to Tiffany's board and train program. One of my dogs is incredibly leash reactive while the other one struggled with being nervous and lacking confidence. Tiffany addressed each dog's needs and behaviors and individualized their training based on that. I got daily updates via texts, pictures, and videos about both of my dogs. Tiffany would include what they had been working on that day and how to implement that at home. Tiffany focuses on the mental state of the dogs she works with to understand why they're acting the way they do. Even now that both of my dogs have been home for almost two months, Tiffany is still there to support me and answer any questions I have about different situations that arise. She happily troubleshoots whatever is going on and is always so quick to respond. Their group pack walk is an awesome opportunity to get your reactive dog out on a walk without fear of judgement and surrounded by understanding owners who are trying to do the same. Tiffany and Dwayne are an awesome team who are passionate about helping dogs and their humans. Thank you!

We had an incredible experience with Tiffany and Dwayne. We did the board and train along with a retreat for our dog Archer. Archer was extremely stubborn and had resource guarding issues to the point where we were worried about keeping him since we have a little one on the way. Archer came back a brand new dog. He is extremely easy to work with now and very obedient. Without this experience we don’t know where we would be, or if we would even have Archer anymore. We thank Tiffany and Dwayne greatly for our experience. Tiffany provided video and verbal updates which were helpful in understanding what to do once we got our dog back. We also participated in the local pack walks that are hosted by Tiffany, which was a great way to see Archer’s progress. We got the opportunity to work with Archer along with Tiffany and Dwayne’s guidance during these pack walks which helped improve our confidence with leash work. We 100% recommend For the Love of Dog training. Thanks again Tiffany and Dwayne for everything you guys have done for us and our family.

I feel very lucky to have had to opportunity for my Dolce to work with For The Love of Dog! I highly recommend this program because it's unique that the dogs are worked with in a real life style rather than the typical boarding facility. Tiffany is a very kind hearted, patient and supportive person which is so important when you are working with a dog trainer. There's constant updates which provides full transparency that your dog is safe and doing well! It's well worth the money given that your dog will learn so much in only a month. I firmly believe that all dogs deserve training to be happy and healthy, and this is a great option to get you there!

Best money we have ever spent! I am so thankful for Tiffani and what she has done with our puppy, Charlie, and currently doing with Jersey. He is now such a joy to be around, not a spaz like most puppies. We took Charlie to family dinner for the first time after training and for the first time EVER (we’ve had lots of dogs) I was able to eat and visit, because of the place work Tiffani did, without the fear of our dog wondering around peeing on the floor, chewing something up, or jumping on people. I can now take him on walks, because of the leash work she spent time doing with him, and it is so enjoyable. Before we did board and train we tried other methods and they just didn’t work, finding time in our schedules was always an issue. We now have a 2nd dog with Tiffani and I keep threatening the spoiled weiner dog, she’s next. Tiffani is so responsive when we have any questions both during and after training. When our dogs are with her she is always sending videos and updates sharing their progress. I would HIGHLY recommend her board and train program! If you are on the fence, I promise you won’t be disappointed if you commit. Thank you Tiffani & Dwayne for loving our dogs and committing to them so they can be the best dogs for our family.

My sweet pup has just returned from a four week board and training with Tiffany and her family, and I am so happy that I found her! Throughout my whole experience with For the Love of Dog, I have had amazing support, with coaching videos, check ins, and getting all my silly questions answered. Tiffany is so knowledgeable about dogs, and really tuned into what my pups individual needs were, and how to help me understand that.
For anyone struggling with their dogs behavior, or just needing a little bit of a mindset shift in your life with your dog, I highly encourage you to reach out to Tiffany.

We’ve changed, my dog is still all of who she has always been as am I, but we’ve changed. By limiting adrenalized states of mind, clearing up miscommunications, implementing e collar, drastically reducing food in training, place work, and utilizing touch as a rewarding (calming) experience.

In my personal life, I have become much calmer. I have implemented everything I am teaching Balou with myself. For the time being, I have removed myself from adrenalinalizing people, places, and things until I can “place” myself in the exchange/environment. I have become very clear with my boundaries for myself, while letting go of people and things that bring imbalance to my world.

Thank you, Tiffany, for your knowledge and skills! You have made our life calmer.

100% the best decision to train with Tiffany. Our puppy was experiencing fear-based reactivity and separation anxiety and through Tiffany’s 30-day board&train program we have seen such a tremendous change in his state of mind. She not only trained our puppy but coached us at the same time so we could learn how to make the necessary adjustments to support our puppy and positively reinforce what he learned once he came home from the program. We will definitely be clients for life!
