Fox & Kit, San Rafael CA

First time here. We took the train with the kids and made a morning out of it. Nice 10-15 min walk downtown to get to C Street. The atmosphere is super great for both kids and adults. The playground is completely separate even with a soundproof barrier, so the lounge can be comfortable without a bunch of kids screaming. My Chai Lattee was ok, nothing special, hence the 3 star on food/drink. For us, it was all about the playground, and it was super cool! Lots of room and fun obstacles. A couple of spots that are a little tougher for our 2 year old to navigate by herself, but other than that, she had a blast. Will definitely be back! As we left, I saw a customer being offered a punch card for the playground, we were not offered that, so I'll have to check it out next time.

First time coming for a kids birthday party event. So many great things to say about the place including cleanliness, aesthetic, service, and quality drinks. Great place for kids to play. I’m a big coffee nerd and they made a delicious cortado that was balanced, right size/taste/temp, with beautiful latte art. The baristas were all so nice and skilled, clean and organized to their craft, and presented all their drinks beautifully. Will definitely come back during normal cafe hours when I’m back in the area!

It is a relaxing place to have coffee and have the kids play. The playing structure has fun for toddlers and up. The crawl space and hill will have the kids exhausted from running up. It's a never-ending playground space. Would definitely be back. They also serve delicious coffee, and the service is spectacular. Space can be rented out for events. They have street parking and parking building across the street.

New coffee shop and play area for little kids in downtown San Rafael. The inside is very cozy with nice decorations. Good for sitting, having a cup of coffee and reading a book or magazine. The play area looks fun. Too bad my kids are outgrown a place like this, otherwise we'll be regular customers!

High quality coffee and espresso. Very fun play area for kids. One does have to wonder how often the soft rocks are cleaned though.

We travel all the way from the East Bay to hangout here. Love the idea of a coffee shop and play space. Adults get some time to talk while kids enjoy some play time. Decor is simple yet classy. Place gets crowded on weekends so you either have to get there right when they open of after the morning rush. Pastries and beverages are surprisingly good. Many beverage options and yogurt. I just wish they offered more food options like avocado toasts, breakfast sandwiches or simple breakfast items. Staff are wonderful and great at enforcing the play space rules. The play space is kept very clean. Love all the options of play (dress up corner, reading nook, climbing tree, colorful tunnel). Recommend making the trek over.

Really cute place, good food and pastries. Service was rude (especially for a place that is kid focused) but everyone has bad days I suppose. Not sure I would drive 45min again but definitely would go if I lived closer. Really well maintained facility and very clean.

Beautiful shop, relaxing atmosphere. The coffee, green tea and chocolate croissant were delicious. Staff is super friendly.

I live 1 hour away, but every time I come this way, I'll come here to enjoy a cup of coffee while my kids play!
The owner and staff are so nice and welcoming.
The kid's playground got some fun costumes and overall is something very different from the playgrounds that I am used to, looks, sounds, and feels like you are in nature.

Absolutely perfect place for coffee, kids, and to enjoy the comfort of both. Ordered the iced chai and was able to watch my kid enjoy the playground.

Really nice coffee. Pastry quite good, though very buttery (good or bad, depending on your taste). Recommended if you are in the area.

They have a cool play area for kids that is a separate fee. Fee seems a touch high to me, but the area is super cool, so maybe reasonable.

Nice coffee spot. Ordered a traditional latte. If you have kids and want coffee, you get the best of both worlds here since there is an indoor playground

Service could be better. Coffee is not that good. Kids area need some improvement and washing the kids costumes would be great!

Cute place for kids, but recently came in for coffee while waiting between appointments. I intended to do some work BUT apparently they don’t have Wi-Fi! I only found this out after I ordered. What coffee shop doesn’t have Wi-Fi these days!? !

First time visiting this place. It's super cute, and the ambiance feels very chic. Small place, but the seating is very strategically put in place.
The staff is very nice and quick service. The food was delicious and fresh as much as the drinks. Family-friendly environment. They have a very nice playground for the little ones for small price. I didn't have any kids with me, but it seemed fun for some little ones that were playing at that time.

We had a really awesome time at Fox and Kit. The place inside was immaculate and trendy while the kid area was super kid friendly. My 2.5 year old had an absolute blast and played happily for nearly 2 hours. The coffee was really tasty and as a mom used to drinking cold coffee, I really appreciated the tumbler which kept it warm the entire 2 hours I was there. My only very minor complaint is that the food selection was small-as a vegetarian my only option was pastries as the savory breakfasts all had meat. Next time I'll just eat breakfast before I go as we will definitely be back!
