Freemark Abbey Winery, St Helena CA

Well more or less, the wines are OK, the property is beautiful but the tour is very short and takes you to a room at the back.

Had a great tasting with Kim. Wonderful history and atmosphere. 2003 Cab is dynamic. Ordered 2 for home.

Did the wine trolly tour this was our first stop, favorite place we visited all day! The hospitality from arrival to leaving was amazing! The wine was also the best we had all day! They may not be the biggest but they are the best! Highly recommend when next in Napa we will sure come here for a private tasting! Thank you for a great morning the Brits loved it …. 08/26/23

We had a nice wine tasting with Anne. It was lovely to talk about Germany and her experience. It was nice to hear a lot of California and its wines. Taste a lot of special red wines.

The winery is beautiful. Kate provided us a top notch wine tasting comparison experience and taught us so much about winemaking. Tasting room was delightful with plenty of room in a classy yet cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend trying a tasting here.

Did not have the best experience at this winery. I am a white wine drinker. I’ve been to a many wineries and this is not normally a problem to accommodate. Especially when the winery makes a white of any sort, as this one does. However, when I inquired, I was rudely told no and asked to wait outside if I wasn’t going to be trying the pre-poured reds they had out. I asked if I could buy a bottle or glass of the white to drink outside, was told no. Why? So I awkwardly waited outside while the rest of my tour completed their tasting. The grounds are facility are beautiful. The staff are pretentious and unaccomdating.

One of my favorite wineries. Great value for relative cost. Josephine, Bosche, Sycamore, Rutherford all delicious!

What a perfect way to start off our day of wine tours. They greeted us with a glass of “breakfast wine”, otherwise known as their Sauvignon Blanc, in their STUNNING tasting room. Kim took great care of us throughout our tasting and really made it feel so personal. Would absolutely recommend going back to this lovely winery.

I’ve been to Freemark a handful of times and Kim has shared her vast knowledge of wines each time. She elevated the experience from great to excellent, and I feel like I got to know the wines on such a personal level.

Had another pleasant experience today - typically I don’t leave reviews until I’ve had that consistent level of experience and service, and I felt like it hit that mark today being at the winery for the 5th time.

Kates been shadowing the past few times and has been great at picking up the knowledge and expertise in cabs, and wine making in general. Talk about a great addition to the Freemark family!

Good wine, average experience. Small pours and hosts that won’t allow you to revisit any of the wines. The property is beautiful, but in Napa the host makes or breaks an experience. There are much better wineries in the valley!
