French Rotisserie Café

Very poor service. Expensive drinks. Ran out of signature chicken before 8: 00. And who charges extra for a little more bread that will be thrown out at the end of the day. Too busy for its own good.

Terrific service and great food. The cheese tartelet is a treat - one of the best appetizers I have ever had.

The mussels and Vol-Au-Vents with Chicken were phenomenal, and we enjoyed dining here with super service.

Many typical French dishes we had the tagine lamb shank and the duck dish. Great atmosphere and the food is great. We really enjoyed our night out

EXCELLENT! Every single bite, from the toasted baguette and herb butter to the French onion soup to the divine duck leg entree to the authentic crème brûlée that transported me straight back to Paris, I couldn’t believe how incredibly delicious every moment was! The wait staff was wonderfully attentive and warm, the ambience very classic French chic, and the music and lighting set the loveliest tone all evening. You can tell the ownership cares very deeply about the quality and authenticity of both the food and experience. Thank you, can’t wait to come back!

First time here and a party of 4 had roast chicken salmon, and mussels. The salads to start were excellent including the simple butter lettuce with an amazing vinaigrette. The frites were some of the best I’ve had anywhere and the chocolate mousse and profiteroles were chocolate heaven. Good choice of wines by the glass. Service was good even though the place was totally full. And you could hear with a reasonable noise level. I would return often if I lived in the desert.

I struggled with this review. The greeting experience and service was really good, however the space feels like it’s in a strip mall, which it kind of is. My wife enjoyed her meal but my rotisserie chicken tasted like ‘shake and bake’ and the Martini was a watered down mess, very disappointing. With that said, the restaurant was full of older locals who seemed satisfied, but wouldn’t recommend for the younger crowd.

We have always wanted to try this restaurant.
We decided to split a French Dip Au Gus for lunch.
What arrived was a sandwich slathered-saturated in some type of sauce.with a consistency of a thick BBQ sauce.
They brought a side bowl with supposedly the "au gus" it was just more of that very thick sauce.
This was NOT a traditional French Dip sandwich, in fact there was so much meat and sauce on this sandwich that you could not pick it up to dip anyway.
The meat itself was severely undercooked with portions being RAW. And it was very gristly low quality meat and we could not cut through it. The bread was tough and hard to cut through as well. We were really surprised at how bad this sandwich was.
We ended up leaving most of the food on our plates and our lethargic server didn't even bother to ask us how our meal was.
The host/maybe owner? Came by and we told him that we were kind of disappointed that our sandwich was not a traditional style and the "au gus" was supposed to be more broth like.and all he said was "Really, oh wow"
As we were leaving, we saw 4 other women get the same dish and we heard them make similar comments as we had: ""this seems undercooked, what it this sauce? " My regret was that I didn't take a photo of the slop we left behind on our plates but at that point we were so disappointed we had to just pay and leave.

Upscale yet friendly white table restaurant where you can enjoy French cruise and wine. Nice patio, but no sit down bar for singles, tables only. Fabulous French Rotisserie chicken.escargot, and creative chicken liver pate tto satisfy duck defenders. Love this place!

We enjoyed delicious Salade de Chevre and Beef Bourginon. The very pretty decor and French music are evocative. I am glad we discovered this place and look forward to returning.

Just went here for lunch. Absolutely fabulous! Had the French Onion soup, and it was delicious. My friend had the pate, and she said it was the best she had had in a very long time. We will be back!

One of the most comfortable dining experiences in the Palm Springs area. A very warm atmosphere with personal service, excellent management, and a highly trained wait staff. Highly recommended for a relaxed evening!

We found the cold asparagus soup, french onion soup, and salads to be excellent.

The coffee had a distinct French flair, and the desserts were quite impressive. Both the duck and clam dishes I ordered were excellent, showcasing the chef's culinary skills. The service was also top-notch, adding to the overall dining experience. I highly recommend French Rotisserie Café for anyone seeking a taste of French cuisine in Palm Springs.

The food wasn't impressive, but this is more about the response to an incident. Someone forgot to take the elastic string off of the chicken and my 4 year old daughter choked on it. My wife was able to pull it out of her throat but when we brought it to the attention of the restaurant, the response was super nonchalant. Nobody, from the server to the kitchen staff to the management, acted like something serious had happened. I could not in good faith recommend this restaurant to anyone else
