Devastating that a place that should be dedicated to saving, protecting and taking care of animals is doing just the opposite. Was heartbroken to see the budgie and cockatiel in a tall enclosure (these types of birds should have wide cages over narrow to help the maximize stretching their wings) especially since they are NEVER out of their enclosure. They have minimal toys for 2 bird let’s alone for never getting outside time. You have two animals in a high stress environment with little to no stimulation. And the worst part, they aren’t up for adoption. You just keep these birds in a tiny cage with no toys for viewing pleasure. How can you call yourself an animal shelter? Animal care takers? The birds water is so low their poop lands in it? Animals are more than just dogs and cats. You guys should be ashamed. Wish I could leave a 0 star.

I retract my review, as I was mislead by a person. I have never been to this shelter, and I have no idea how they work, but I apologize to the shelter.

Nice shelter and very friendly staff. Make sure to make an appointment before you go if you'd like to see a specific animal. Otherwise, they only allow you to view the animals if you come in a walk-in basis. Have not been through the adoption process. Was looking for a small to medium dog, and most of what they had were larger sized dogs.

We stopped by to donate some blankets and towels but ended up taking a walk through to visit the animals in need of a home. There were so many, I wish we were in a position to adopt another pet. I honestly see ourselves making a return visit and if your looking or thinking about adopting stop by any local animal shelter. I’m sure you’ll find a pet that suits you or your family.

This place is horrible! My post was taken off. They have no respect for their customers. Horrible customer service, receptionist girl is the worst! Save ur money and find another place. They have no consideration for people or animals.

The best shelter around, they really help you get started correctly with your new pet. All the staff and volunteers are wonderful and the facility is clean and well ran. Please adopt a pet today!

I have dealt with this particular shelter numerous times for different reasons. I have never adopted a dog through them but if I were going to, I would definitely look at their dogs first. They work hard to treat them for illness and injury and give them every chance so that they are not put down. I have raised money for this shelter through my dog group on Facebook. We have over 1000 small breed dog owners in the group and they are all dog lovers. My group collected money toward the care of the dogs in the shelter. I have also gone to them for vaccinations and dental care for my dogs, and they are very reasonably priced. I think they are one of the best shelters in our area.

Horribly experience, I do not want to explain the details what happened. It is embarrassing for some people who work there.

I adopted the sweetest and smartest cat from this shelter. She has quickly become an integral part of our family for the past two months. Every moment spent with her has been an absolute joy, as she is a true sweetheart. The shelter staff was incredibly generous, providing us with blankets, toys, and treats for our new furry friend. They even wrote a note about her, describing her as having an abundance of love to give. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful companion and to have had such a positive adoption experience at this shelter!

Very nice facility and friendly staff. The animals seem to be well cared for and generally have only short stays there before adoption.

I've read the reviews, and I must admit that I don't agree with the unfavorable ones. I don't know where they are coming from, but based on my countless interactions with them, I can only speak highly of this location. I have adopted 2 dogs from them and they are very happy. Although adopting an animal takes a little while, I understand that it is necessary for the animals' safety. The staff is really kind and helpful. They genuinely care about the animals' welfare and ensure that they are placed in a loving home. They also operate a no-kill shelter, which I much respect.

A very nice shelter that provides many opportunities to adopt pets at a low cost. They are very knowledgeable on the animals they have available and put out announcements on their social media if they believe they have found a lost pet.

Meeting rooms are nice, spacious, and clean. Kennels and cages are clean and well attended to.
Pets available all have beds and blankets. Pets go on daily walks and receive affection from staff and volunteers.

They give you an adoption kit with every pet you adopt that includes a free bag of food from Cozy Pet Supplies up the street and a very generous $25 voucher for their second hand shop nearby. Doggy chew, 2 blankets, bandana, and medical history (if available) of the pet was given to me. All included in the cost of the adoption fee. They have very very nice pet beds also available for only $10. Most stores sell them for a minimum of $25+ for the same size!

A wonderful shelter to find your new best friend! I know I have found two of my best friends from this shelter (as well as one escapee who went on an adventure and got lost for one night. We picked her up the next day). They give you their "mugshot" photo when you go claim them. Very funny and cute! Makes for a great memory keepsake.

Need info pass adoption but they seem not care onces your out the door.only been little over a year great job guys.

It's hard to give them two stars. I wish our experience was good, but it was not at all; there are a lot of mixed and sad emotions. This shelter is a non-kill, but to get an opportunity to adopt the doggie you have a connection with, you need to have a relationship with the shelter manager—an unfortunate situation. If you see the reviews, I'm not the only one that feels that way.

I called to report a scared stray that was almost hit by a car and was told that they would be right there to pick it up. I was then called back and rudely told that are behind because of the holidays, therefore no one is going to come out. I was told by a laughing person that they and Upland do not care for stray dogs or if it gets hit and killed. I was told to "just let it go".
