Frontier Communications reviews
4A Frontier component failed inside the house and called for service on a Friday. They sent a tech on Monday afternoon. The complaint was "no WiFi. ". The tech shows up and uses the WiFi-dependent Ring doorbell, which doesn't ring in the house but is heard by a household member who goes to the door to check it out. In the 30 seconds it takes to get to the door, the tech has already left and closed the ticket. When I call and tell Support what has happened I'm given a new appointment on Tuesday. When I say that this is unreasonable and they should send their technician back that same day, I'm told by first the support person and then their supervisor that they have no one available for the next 24 hours. I tell them to cancel my account and am transferred to the "customer retention" department. Within an hour a new technician shows up and knocks on the door. Customer service is fleeting and you must insist and persist. Apparently, the customer retention department is the only one with the authority to competently execute service requests.
Horrible! Tried to get my internet set up twice after my active-duty husband took off work both days. Cancelled without notice both times. We will be canceling our undelivered upon service and initiating a charge-back if not given a refund immediately.
Everything about them, from their service to their "technicians" is horrible. You have a monopoly, if not you would have been dropped years ago.
Edit: Look into the calyx institute for internet if Frontier is your only option. Privacy focused Non profit that offers hotspots with unlimited data.
I want to say it's been closed to 9 years we've been stuck with Frontier, trying to get other internet services but, they want to charge so much just to put stupid cable running across the street so we've been stuck ever since it switched from Verizon. Why can't we still get our internet from Verizon? I have no idea why it switched over.
