Fuji Sushi reviews
19Fuji Sushi - Elk Grove is my go-to sushi place. The food, staff, and atmosphere are amazing. It's a clean atmosphere and a local favorite. Definitely recommend the Pepper Fin; It's seared tuna with a blend of spicy sauce and jalapeños. Wish they brought the Chinese food section back, the salt and pepper shrimp, in particular always great. If you love sushi, you will love this place. No complains here
Passed by Elk Grove and saw this buffet. Wanting to try out.it was great, better than the ones I got out close by. I will come back next time
Decent price for the food. Runs well and for the price you can't beat it. The service staff are very attentive.
Update prices.
It's a nice experience with the boats going around and delivering sushi, but the sushi wasn't the best I've had, average nothing to rave about. If you sit at the sushi bar you may have people still reach over you for sushi platters on the boat although the restaurant has made room for people to talk to and grab items without disturbing people seated at the bar.
I’d love to eat a $200 sushi plate, but I need to save for my kid’s college fund. So, for the money, this is a great place to go for sushi.
Tips:
1. Sit at the sushi bar (more variety, smaller portions, easier to order)
2. Order the soft shell crab and oyster from the waiters
3. The unagi hand roll and unagi nigiri are better when ordered from the chefs
Enjoy.
So my wife loves sushi and she has been wanting to go to a all you can eat rotating sushi place sense we got married, we drove a hour and half to come here. I myself am allergic to fish so I had no intention of eating here just to site with my wife. Got there explained to the waiter how I would like to just site with my wife, he said I would have to pay for price to do so or wait in the lobby while she eats by herself. What a joke, so I told my wife to go enjoy herself while I say 20ft away to watch her eat instead of paying 30 bucks to site next to her, definitely the last time we will ever go to “Fuji Sushi” over priced, rude service and waste of time.
You can get some pretty alright sushi here. The rotating sushi selection at the bar is pretty limited, so probably best to just order something from the chef. The all-you-can-eat deal offered here comes out to be ~$30 per person.
The servers were attentive and actively made sure all our needs such as drinks or side orders were taken care of. Kind of hard to get a hold of the chef though, with the high countertops blocking your view of them.
Overall, a pretty standard sushi bar. Not my favorite but it wasn't bad.
It's not the best sushi, but let's be honest you came for quantity over quality, the new serving style vs pre covid is a little wierd, but glad to have the elk Grove location back again
Recomend. Not bad at all, veriety of sushi and some other food to choose from for entire family. Frendly staff, they work hard to make sushi delicious. Provide good customer service that people come again and again. Go and try, i hope you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!
The food, service and staff are amazing!
We came here at 5: 00 sharp on a Monday. Right after we were seated at the bar, all the floating boats were already filled with sushi. The lead chef was friendly. It seems they got many regular customers. We tried many delicious sushi from the floating boats, and there were more options you could order from the menu. The price was pretty good. We’ll come back!
For the price, this was extremely disappointing. The requested rolls were all frozen each time I ordered. Sitting at the bar was cute but they did not do a good job having a variety on the boats. There was more rice than fish. When ordering at the bar, some of the orders were wrong. This is not a place I would go to again.
I love this place. Food is good, service is good, they're always on top of things. This is how you run a sushi bar!
I would recommend showing up 45 minutes to an hour before they close. It seems like everything is rushed to get your food. Not a peaceful atmosphere. The food is good. Just would have liked to sit down and not be pressured to eat quickly get your food quickly ect.
This place is absolutely amazing i read all the low reviews and everyone who wrote them must be on something because the workers are extremely nice, and the people in the middle serving the sushi are so generous.i ask for like 5 sashimi plates everytime i come and i get the same amount.the food is so high quality and i’ve never had sushi as good as this place.this is like the wagyu of restaurants
Great sushi, huge variety. All you can eat! Unfortunately the Chinese food section was not open.
Still like this place but the quality of food is not so great. Much more expensive due to economy and covid cost price driven. Will I come back. No sure unless food quality changes.
All the rolls were filled with imitation crab and/ or tempura. Heavy on the rice and sauce. They'll give you sashimi if you explicitly ask the chefs for it directly, but they're pretty stingy about it. I'd understand if it was a regular priced buffet, but this was like $33 for dinner.
We've been regulars for years and we can always count on an excellent meal with friendly staff. The selection of sushi and other items is outstanding and the price for what you get can't be beat.
Price is fair for the buffet. I recommend sitting at the bar for first timers and tables for groups of more than three people. Depending on the day there can be a wait but it's worth it. Food us good, service is great.
