Futures Academy - Manhattan Beach reviews
11Very personable staff that tailors to the need of your children while keeping the integrity of accountability and education.
My son is in his second year @ Futures Academy Manhattan Beach. They have been amazing at working with him at his pace, which is faster than average. They use M. A. P testing to ensure proper placement and challenges for each student. They allowed my son to move ahead in areas where he was particularly advanced, and did continual check ins to make sure he was at the right level and not flailing. The program is diverse and inclusive all the students 6-12 respect each other and really help one another. It is small, but that has not stopped my extrovert from flourishing.
We are very impressed with Futures Manhattan Beach. My son has an excellent Calculus teacher (Katherine), who is very prepared, and explains concepts clearly and efficiently. She challenges him and the class is rigorous yet manageable. He is learning a tremendous amount. Thank you, Futures!
Futures academy in Manhattan bch has been an amazingly positive experience! Our high school age daughter went from refusing to attend school due to extreme anxiety to liking school, enjoying learning and feeling supported by a caring and dedicated staff. We cannot recommend it highly enough.
This is our fourth year with this wonderful school. If it wasn’t for futures Academy, or send B Sr would not have been able to take as many AP classes during the school year. Flexible and understanding but challenging and rewarding
Halstrom has been a great school for our high schooler. Took 4 classes total, mostly summer school. One on one instruction, so you know they are learning the material, and you get regular progress reports. Teachers know how to help kids with different learning styles. Flexible with scheduling, and classes were completed so much faster than traditional school. Great staff!
My son went from C, D and F’s to A’s and B’s
He is more excited about school, will do his homework without all the stress
Thanks!
Mediocre and very expensive. The first week of Summer School they did NOT have their act together, but after numerous complaints by students and parents they finally got settled down and the rest of Summer they were okay. I would not send my kids there for the entire school year because they are too rigid.
Halstrom was flexible and the teacher was knowledgeable. My daughter had a great experience. Thank you Halstrom.
My child is halfway through her session. The teacher is moving quickly and she is finding the class interesting and efficient.
This is our second time around for Halstrom and the changes have been improved in many aspects. I believe Chanel who is in charge seems to be on top of things and very knowledgeable in academics!
